It's not a harder fight stylewise. Anyone who knows boxing knows that Cotto stylistically offers more than Shane does.:deal He has a jab has a good body attack has lateral movement can box has better defense than Shane. He's more complete period and he's younger and he holds a win over Shane.
Lets be real, I would love to see the fight so i can see the "great uncle tom hope' get outclassed. But mosley is not the best Welterweight in the world. He beat Margarito. Margarito had no skills whatsover. What is he going to be remembered for. His ram rod jab? His devastating right cross? His handspeed? His skills? None of that. he's gonna be remmembered as a human punching bag who ate shot after shot, until he finnally cracked. And on top of that he was a cheater who had to loaded his gloves.
I don't rule Cotto out at all... Right now....I mean right now....Mosley is the hot commodity at 147, not Cotto, that's all !! Until proven otherwise, I want PBF, a full grown welterweight to face the best right now, which is Mosley !!
Then why would Mayweather fight Baldomir, even if he was the top guy, if he was one of the least talented champs at 147, in the last 20 ****in' years ???
Pulling out the "Anyone who knows" bull****. But no, Cotto's defense is NOT better. Neither guys is great defensively. If anything they are more comparable then claiming Cotto's is better. Shane is an excellent body puncher too. Lateral movement? atsch Younger and hold a win mean NOTHING in terms of style. Right now, Shane is the #1 WW. He has the big fight experience Floyd has and can match speed with Floyd. And comparing each guys last fight, looks to have more in the tank already at 37-38 then the younger man.
That's only your opinion.... Mosley fought the wrong fight against Cotto, that was so evident, looking to land the big punch all night instead of getting off the quick combos.
Easy belt. Bladomir was the WORST Champion, not only in the WW division, but all of boxing since....****...Willard? But Floyd saw it as an easy win. It's been his MO for to long now. Not good for someone as talented as Floyd.
Baldmir was the lineal champ, and Floyd received his highest payday up to that point aginst him. Plus Baldomir isnt a cheater like Marg. You just said up above that Cotto is good but Mosley is a hot commodity. Well why can;t you see that the Pac-Cotto winner especially if its Pac will be a much hotter commodity than Shane?
Cotto can box he has a good jab, good power, great body attack, great lateral movement can fight off his back foot. Mosley fast hands good chin good power. Pac fast hands good pop, great stamina, great confidence, southpaw Cotto has the most to offer here and has the best jab by far. If I've said this once I've said this 1000 times you will not beat PBF if you don't have a jab you must have one to keep him honest and neither Pac nor Shane have one.:deal
