It's not that I dont rate Pirog, I had seen lot of him before he fought Jacobs too. My point is, Jacobs is probably his biggest win, which I think a lot of people overreacted to. Undoubtedly a very good fighter, but just how good remains to be seen(for me, anyways).

    how grand are these schemes?

He has the potential to be top 10 contender in the middleweight division(if he isnt already).

Is that really what you class as 'shite'?

I'm guessing you only watch pacman and mayweather fight with the occassional viewing of the 'mediocre' fighters like say Martinez, marquez and the super 6.....

Le may be a top 10 fighter but its a very very weak division.

Yeah, I don't watch boxing at all. In fact, I've judged Lee without watching any of his fights  :good

Shite was too strong I admit. But most people on here know how to take me.

I'll re-phrase; average due to stylistic deficiencies :good

Saying the middleweight division is shite is just wrong. Devoid of big names maybe, shite hardly.

    Martinez
    Williams
    NDNJ
    Golovkin
    Lemon-eaux
    Pirog
    Sturm
    Korobov

I really wouldn't call that lot shite. Not even including guys like Lee, Sylvester, Geale etc.

At the moment it's a bit average, but it's potentially the best in the sport, most of the names mentioned haven't really come through yet.

I don't rate Korobov that highly either. I didn't even after his first few fights because I saw little variation in him, and I havn't watched his recent fights. But a lot of people do speak highly of him, thats why I included him.

It's not a bad list. Of course they're world class, if its a weak division according to you they must be. Golovkin-Pirog-Lemon is a trio of 'prospects' that can better those of nearly every other division if ya ask me.

It's just short on established stars aside from Williams and Martinez. The 'prospects' are the world class fighters. But that in itself doesn't make them bad, and a certain number are going to go on to be stars.

yeh but there prospects who would fall way short right now if they faced a top level fighter.

compare it to the light heavyweight, super middle, light middle, bantamweight divisions which have 6-7 genuine elite fighters.

What's going on with Lemon? Reckon he might be another one of those 'fragile punchers'.

It's his T-Rex arms that will be his downfall eventually IMO. I think he looks a genuine puncher. That's dangerous on this division where all the top guys (well, Sergio and P-Dub) are hittable.

I don't think most of those divisions have 6-7 'elite' fighters. Depends how you define elite, thats a term that tends to mean one thing to one person and something else to another.
