Martinez, Williams, Pavlik, Sturm, would all make this kid look exactly like what he is: A very green prospect.
I think Sturm and Pavlik would probably lose to Pirog. Kelly has never really impressed me, and he's been clowned twice now.
Arent you the same guy that said Pavlik is in decline though? Kelly might be younger then Pirog, but Pirog is a young 30 and I think can put together a good few years run. Kelly is an old 28, and by time he hits 30 I'm almost sure he'll no longer be a top fighter. Pavlik would have to still be favored now though, but a Pirog upset wouldnt be much of a shocker.
Yes he cant box.. like someone said he is crude slugger... Btw are you gonna embarras yourself agauin bringing some 1st round ko's like with jack dempsey thread? dont do it:think atsch:rofl
I have a hard time seeing anyone "rule" it given the depth. He is only 20 too remember. I like these top prospects fighting eachother and would love to see Lemieux vs Lee although Lee getting ktfo would be another huge setback for him (which is possible) Here's his KO over Bute. His win over Dirrell from the Olympics is on Youtube too :good [ame]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kmcshgGP8YA[/ame] And 95% of people said Martinez was a Argentinian bum that fought cab drivers. Then he beat Bunema, "loses" vs PW and embarrases Pavlik. He went from garbage in most ppl's mind to P4P in 2 fights. Just cuz he hasn't fought them doesn't mean his skill set and ability is absent.
What? He cant box? He might not 'box' like your thinking of in terms of an outside game but the guy is very skilled. Inside work is his specialism. At 5ft 10" and with a short reach hes like a compact tin opener on the inside.
Lemieux never been hurt or knocked down, took some good shots very well and he covers up well... Basic defense but great
This thread isn't a fantasy thread about him fighting those fighters you mentioned. It's pitting him against an even lesser proven fighter, so what exactly is your point?
Lemeiux always goes for the ko, which makes him dangerous, but also susceptible of getting ko'd himself. He fights like a Pipino Cuevas-style and if he catches you once, your done. The only ones I see giving Pirog a good fight are Golovkin, Williams, and Martinez. Dzinziruk has good technique, is awkward, has good power, and would also prove a tough fight.
:good I give credit to Golovkin for taking it to the taller, faster Bute. Seemed like Bute got careless.
Dude you realise Lemieux is an 18 year old kid in this video right? He's miles better these days. Not exactly a fair comparison.
