Plant gets overrated because he did well vs the 5'7 ginger with fake muscles. The truth is Canelo is a flawed fighter and is 5'7 with fake mexican muscles. There is a huge difference between a naturally big man like Benevidez who knows how to use his length, and height. You will see how badly you overrated Plant and Canelo with how easy David disposes of this trailor trahs.
Caleb Plant took up boxing at age 8. He won the 2011 Golden Gloves in the light heavyweight division. Plant was an alternate for the 2012 Summer Olympics. As an amateur Caleb won numerous tournament titles while compiling a record of 97 wins with 20 defeats. Not a bad amateur record for an "overrated" guy. Plus 22-1 in the pros.
This is definitely Benavidez's chance to prove that he is indeed "The Mexican Monster". Anything other than a complete annihilation of Plant will have people calling him overrated. The pressure is clearly on him tonight.
Oh boy, the ol’ Canelo is over rated crap… Canelo’s resume is better than anyone else currently fighting. No one rated Plant for losing to Canelo, but the realistic view is that Benavidez hasn’t done anything in the ring to make him leagues above Plant. Its an even fight and Canelo is leagues better than anyone else either man has fought, and thus he’s the lone loss between the two of them.
If Canelo is over rated, what does that make the rest of boxing? Like him or hate him, Canelo is one of the elite boxers in today's boxing and would have been very good in any era.
I also think Plant is overrated but disagree with your reasons why. I think he has the ability to look good vs tough fighters but I seriously doubt he can handle things getting really physical. David stopping him is the safe pick tonight.
Almost everyone is saying Benavidez is going to walk right through Plant with the few that think otherwise are saying it will be close but lean Benavidez. So if this is overrating Plant then you must think he's a journeyman bum.
