Mayweather dominated that round. ORtiz landing 2 good punches. The body shot which as someone said, wasnt damaging at all, and the hook that got Mayweather to the ropes, besides that, Floyd precision was excellent, and the force and leverage on his punches were much greater. Thus why Ortiz eye was ****ed up.
This (highlighted portion) pretty much sums up what the whole fight (and the controversy) is about for me.
maybe a little exaggerated, but there was swelling there none the less...quite a lot for only 4 rounds of work vs. a feather fisted, pot shotting runner
there was face injury look at post fight conference. A lot of damage for 4 rounds against Mayweather who as someone said isnt power puncher. [ame]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ntMvFcfiWCc[/ame]
Floyd looking for a way out is idiotic. The case can definitely be made that Ortiz was looking to get out of there. Watching the replays, Victor was having some success in the 4th round, but it was more or less an even round before the madness. Either way Floyd won the first 3 rounds. The fight could've gotten interesting later based on the little success Victor was starting to have, but in all likeliehood Floyd would've became even sharper and beat the kid up bad.
nicely done video dispelling rumors that floyd dominated as much as he did. ortiz actually did not do so bad and was actually hitting floyd with nice hard shots while making floyd miss.
he got hit with a shot or 2. his ability to recover is incredible. most guys would be falling all over the place
