Why do you think it would be boring to me:huh Just cause i dont think Whittaker was exciting? Well majority of fans back then thought he was boring. Now its Sacrilige to make such a statement,Especially to the You tube generation:lol: Well i have not seen the Mcgirt Leon fight since it happened I remember watching it at a Sports Bar with the Sound off and thought Leon did enough towards the end to make it very close. Ill watch it again but i know that your scorecard is waaaaay off.

Once again id like to hear your reasoning as to why i think this would be to boring too watch?

I was basically assuming that you didn't want to watch the Whitaker-Rivera fight again so that you don't get exposed. And I was assuming the same here with McGirt-Leon.

I'll believe you that you can't be bothered watching Whitaker-Rivera and that you don't have access to McGirt-Leon, but if we're to discuss this properly we might as well have the fight before us, otherwise you can pull out anything from your rear end and serve it up as a fact.

With my shitty internet connection it would take me a year to upload McGirt-Leon, but if someone wants to meet me half way on it, I'll put up half the rounds.

If you're ADAMANT that my card is way off though, I might get stubborn and decide to upload the whole thing. :D

And as to Whitaker being boring, isn't it ironic that the attention deficit disorder (youtube) generation chose the most BORING fighter from the past to lionise? You'd think they'd go for someone a bit more exciting....

Just wondering how old are you? I get the feeling you are some youngster that thinks he knows more than guys that have been watching boxing a lot longer.
You brought it up so yey post it and ill be happy to give you my scorecard.
Were you a boxing fan when Pernell was fighting? IF you were you would know what im talking about. Not saying you would agree but you would know where im coming from.

Like i said before i admire Pernells skills and I rate him very high, but can only take him in doses.

That's as bad and worthless as "I bet you have never boxed". I expected better from you :-(

I'm 30 years old, been following the sport half my life and yes I'm well aware that many thought Pernell was boring during his time.

But so what? He was under-appreciated during his time, as is the case with many geniuses. The important thing is that people are now REGOGNISING what a great, entertaining fighter he was.

I will upload McGirt-Leon, it will take a while, but it'll get up there and I'll bump this thread so that people can watch it. I'll be interested to see how many others think this one could go either way. I'm guessing one or two of the more biased guys on the site and that's about it.

I'm in the process of putting it together now. It will be put up in 4 or 5 parts, and should be ready in about 24 hours :good.

I just watched the fight before as well - I think I was being a bit generous to Leon in giving him 3 rounds

McGirt wins by popping the jab, drinking water and doing what he worked on in training.

    Anybody use that joke yet?

Well, I did it, and it was less painful to upload it than I thought it would be.

For your viewing pleasure, 'a fight that could have gone either way' :good:D

I want to meet the person who thought high socks on a dude was fashionable and kick him square in the nuts. McGirt couldn't of looked any gayer if the socks had rainbow stripes on em.

Thanks for the upload too Scientist.

    :yep

Hey at least he didn't shave his chest hair Arriba.

Personally, I'm more concerned about the mullet on Leon. Shocker of a hairdo.
