Taylor almost outboxed Chavez - would have, were it not for the corrupt actions of Richard Steele. Floyd doesn't give King's boy the chance to steal it.

Taylor outboxed Chavez.!..Problem with Taylor was the Philly heart..he chose to freakin stand there toe to toe when he would have won easy

Dude, just stop it, there is no freaking way Floyd beats a prime Chavez.

Castillo gave him all he could handle and lost in most people's opinion. Now a Chavez who is a league above Castillo in strength, speed, defense, chin, and boxing skill would tear down little Floyd's defense. :hey

Floyd could not win a decision over Chavez. And if he tried to go for a KO he'd get KTFO in the process.

PBF by UD. Too much speed too much defense too much movement for Chavez to handle.

 You are the only person on this forum aside from the afore-mentioned Floyd groupies that would claim he had a better jab than Pernell, who's jab is routinely considered among the best if not the best in the history of the sport.

Floyd has a very good body jab, Pernell had a very adaptable jab to the head from the southpaw position, which he fired out at a higher rate. Pernell's was definitely more efficient.

Mayweather did not have more power than Whitaker when they both commited to punches. I didn't see Mayweather KO'ing anyone with one shot at any point above 130, and come to think of it, the majority of his KO's came at 130, where he was facing smaller opposition than Pernell.

As far as being stronger, I'd like to see Floyd even step in the ring with a monster like Julio Cesar Vasquez, much less win the way Pea did. Or how about how he outfought Chavez(the best infighter in recent times) on the inside in their bout. Or how he was the one out-fighting Trinidad in close for the first 7 rounds of their bout, and this was a shot, crack-addled Whitaker facing a much bigger, primed fighter known for his power. What has Floyd done to compare? He gets put on the ropes by pretty much everyone he faces.

Exactly and that's why PBF would prevail.

Just because someone chooses Floyd does'nt mean they did'nt pick out of intelligence. And yes Chavez is above Floyd as far as accomplishments are concerned but Floyd is not real far off.

i wouldnt say floyds jab is better than pernells but it is very underrated and excellent when he chooses to use it due to its quickness and variety (can go upstairs or downstairs with it)
i always deemed pernells to be better as he could literally take over fights and control fights with it. The southpaw element and the angles he fired his jab from made it a tricky punch for any fighter to overcome even a past prime whittaker controlled a prime de la hoya at the end of his jab and had him completely bemused most of the fight

Floyd by wide UD. He win ATLEASt 8 rounds of this fight. Floyd took Oscars best left hook while bouncing off the ropes at 154 and laughed at it. What would Chavez do to hurt Floyd? Floyd would dominate Chavez like Pea and Taylor did, except unlike Taylor he'd beat Chavez on the inside.

Seriously I've never seen this much bias against one of our generations top fighters. Eastside boxing must really mean East LA boxing.
