Poll Cotto vs Palomino?

I said this is the latin tourney

and Im sticking with that.

 

I'm with Pea on this that the edge Carlos has in durability is something Cotto does not really have a counter for -- but I'll be fair to both sides here, on paper, Mosley has those same advantages.

Cotto could outbox Carlos to a decision. That said, make me pick a man and I'd go for Palomino by late TKO.

Palomino is a more well-rounded (yet less consistant) offensive force as Margarito. Everyone knows how much of a Cotto fan I am, but a bigger, iron-chinned pressure fighter is the way to beat him. The body shots Palomino would be landing would be hideous, and whilst Cotto may have success in turning Carlos, flurrying on the inside and getting back out again, I don't believe he has the overall skill and resilience of Duran at 147.

Palomino, late stoppage when Cotto realises he can take no more. If he doesn't take a knee he would be forced to, can't think of many better left hook body shots across the board, let alone at 147.

 

Why are these polls not public? The idiots who voted for Cotto by stoppage are just that................................idiots :rofl

Palimino woulda beat Cotto down.

 

Still going with Palomino, styles make fights and he is about as bad as I can think of for Miguel, who I'm a massive fan of as everyone knows.

I'm also objective: Palomino, stoppage anyway between 9-12 :good

 

I've always liked Cotto and think he gets underrated by classic posters. But he really isn't a good H2H guy against the elites of other eras so I can understand that. ...He's just not a good H2H guy.
