The Duran im talkng about is the one that beat Leonard in Montreal. I just see Duran handling anything Pac would bring. I think Pac is awesome,but just think hed bite of more than he can chew here. Anyone that thinks Pacs speed would have bothered him,is mistaken big time(other threads thought soatsch)
Duran was at the beginning of his higher weight class excursions at 147, Pacquiao is at the end of his (I would certainly think) at 145. Duran is a lot faster than Cotto and has a granite chin. I give very little chance to Pac head to head at lightweight, light welterweight or welterweight.
2 years ago I would have said Duran by brutal KO.... Pac has showed me that he is more than I thought he was, but still have to go with Duran by decision.
Duran was a phenom in his prime. No way Pac can deal with the power. Also Duran was a master defense fighter. I love Pac but the 70's 80's was an era of monsters.
