I agree and I've been saying from day 1 that this fight serves as a litmus test to me over who can score a fight according to the correct criteria. Whether you have it for Kovalev or Ward by a margin, you're correct - but for sure, this was not a robbery.

It also emphasised to me that Ward is actually P4P better than Kovalev. Ward's prime weight class is 168 and he hasn't looked the exact same as he has at 175 in terms of his physical traits.

Ward was jittery at the start, fighting a top fighter for the first time in years, the knockdown woke him up and he took over the fight. Ward has left the ring the more impressive fighter to me.

I can't wait until Ward 8-4's Kovalev, quite frankly.

Not a robbery, but definitely a gift.

Kovalev won six clear rounds. Ward won three clear.

The other three were swing rounds, two of which I scored for Kovalev and one for Ward, giving a 116 -111 score in favour of Kovalev.

Even if you give all there close rounds to Ward, you get six rounds apiece, and the Knockdown is the difference, 114-113.

I can't see a way to score this as a win for Andre.

If that's how you scored it, we had it exactly the same, round for round. But writing this post feels like deja vu, so I'm thinking we had already perhaps established this previously.

We had, but scoring solidarity is always welcome. Especially with a myth as tiring as this one, that Ward couldn't have feasibly won the fight legitimately.

I thought Kovalev won but don't consider it a robbery.

I see where you went wrong, Bogo.

3, 5 and 12 were all Kovalev rounds.

Apart from that, you were pretty much on track.

    Kov: 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 10, 12,

    Ward: 7, 8, 9, 11

Look, Andre knows he lost that fight, as clearly and as incisively as he knew Pac won Bradley 1.

He should have taken the advice he gave Timmy at that time and put it into practice himself.

kovalev was the champion and he got 1 kd while mostly the aggressor and inflicted the more damaging blows. ward did not do enough to capture the belt being the challenger. how could have ward won the fight? ward knows deep in his heart that it was a gift. he should prove himself worthy for the gift belt in the rematch otherwise he should throw the belt in the trash.

I don't remember the others off the top of my head, but I can't see round 3 for Kovalev. Ward's head-snapping jabs were far superior to anything Kovalev landed that round.

I suppose technically, if you had Kovalev winning then it is a robbery. In your eyes one man was robbed of victory
