He won’t ever go to heavyweight IMO. And rightly so, he vacated his belt so he didn’t have to fight Briedis again and now he’s fighting guys we’ve never heard of? If he can fight Briedis again (if he has the stones to take the fight), CBS, Riakporhe, Okolie, Badou Jack and Ramirez then he can claim to be a great Cruiser. Until then, why are we gaslighting someone that has had one elite fight (Briedis)
It is way too early to tell if he will, but can he? Of course. After the Fury-Usyk saga plays out, there will be four belts to chose from. I wouldn't put him in there against Joshua, and also as a hard-hitting southpaw heavy, I would keep him away form Zhang. Could he be competitive with Dubois, Hrgovic, Kabeyel, or Parker for a belt? Why not?
you're judging his performance vs Breidis when he had a broken jaw from round 2? really? his jaw was just hanging there completely dislodged at the end of the fight.
if he has the stones? are you kidding me? he had a broken jaw from round 2 and by the end of the fight his jaw was hanging off his face and you say he has no nuts? shame on you. you have zero credibility.
What a garbage post. He vacated his belt to get a big payday as Briedis wasn’t yet healthy. You’re insinuating that he dodged Briedis…that’s an unfounded and disgusting allegation. He’s already beaten Briedis and rightly wanted to stay busy and get paid. Opetaia is scared of and dodges nobody you utter gimp of a poster. And all those names you mentioned Opetaia beats with his eyes closed and one hand tied behind his back. Give yourself an uppercut you absolute disgrace.
Don't waste your time on that clown, the facts were already given to him here https://www.boxingforum24.com/threa...-for-vacant-title.715000/page-2#post-22680624 But he keeps the same crap like a broken record in another thread, signs of a dishonest poster. May be he loves the taste of IBF knobs who knows, each to his own
I've judged his last 3 fights and have said he made lightwork of his last 2 opponents. What happens if he suffers a broken jaw with a 250lb man early on too? Or a broken hand? or shoulder or cheekbone? Does that give him a reason to quit?
The premise of your question is nonsense. Opetaia didn't quit against Briedis who hits as hard as many heavyweights. He has never shown any evidence that he is a quitter and there's nothing to say that he gets his jaw broken again anyway. Or a broken hand given he is now really letting his punches go again after surgery.
you judged him going life and death with the guy who was the top dog even though he broke his jaw in round 2 and said jaw was hanging from his face. all those reasons give him a reason to quit, as most would certainly do and should for their own safety but you allowing no leniency for having endured such a shocking injury shows your bias against him whether you care to admit it or not.
You're actually stupid. Why would he duck a guy who he had already beaten? Briedis wasn't ready to fight because of injury and Opetaia is entitled to both stay busy and get paid. Now run along little boy and let the adults talk. I'm putting you on ignore so don't bother responding.
