Hatton's only chance was to get inside but Cortez denied him, he got knocked out because he was frustrated, even though he probably would have lost on points still. Let's see how Mayweather's record looks if he hadn't been allowed to hold constantly. People like you have to go on about the Hatton win and make it something great because in reality Mayweather didn't beat a single great fighter in their prime. Manufactured record ( and still lost to Castillo and probably Maidana)
Calzaghe was not boring, he was a high volume puncher, he threw more punches per round on average than Roy Jones did during his career.
Of course, the problem people have always had with Calzaghe was never the quantity but the quality of the punches he threw. I'm sure the same people would have hated Maxie Rosenbloom. I personally respect him, even though I was more of a fan of Jones and Hopkins, but I can see where some did not find his style to be entertaining.
But he still cherry picked most of his opponents and dictated the terms of the fights. Not a hater of his skill, but he's massively overrated by Mayhuggers and I do think his excessive hugging is super boring to watch.
That was one of the best fights of a all time but Klitschko is only entertaining when he’s not having it his own way. Johsua smashing him up forced Wlad to get all of his guns out. When Wlad is dominating he usually just coasts to victory.
wouldn't exactly say he was a boring fighter but looking back on films of 70s Ali, he was in some boring as hell long assed fights especially after the mid 70s when Ali hardly had any speed or power left. He must have gone something like 5 or 6 consecutive 15 round fights that went the full distance and most were repetitive copies of each other. Bugner, Young, Evangelist something Spanish guy, even the Spinks fights. These were not exciting fights.
Well I loved watching him, but I know many people found him boring was Vitali K. I used to love to watch him outbox opponents at distance and break them down.
I stand corrected then Mark. I don't find his ugly, mauling style and sloppy, pitty pat arm punches boring at all then. Thanks for setting me straight on that.
Oh sorry misread the question? Joe Bugner is my pick I can't stand him, other than his fight with Richard Dunn, he gets my vote.
