In the Acelino Freitas/Lemuel Johnson fight, one of the judges had Freitas ahead 10-9 after the first round despite the fact Freitas was knocked down in that round and Johnson wasn't.

 

Steele did the right thing. There's no room for sentiment in boxing and he followed protocol as he was meant to.

Peter Maher vs Joe Choynski

Maher hit Sharkey at the bell ending the seventh round. Sharkey was like a wild bull, he had clinched and several seconds after the bell hit Maher with three right hand blows to the head. Maher landed one in return, there was a wild scene with Sharkey hitting one of Maher's seconds in the head. The police intervened and the referee declared the bout a draw.
