I remember having it 7-5 GGG at the time. A lot of people were giving rounds to Deryvanchenko for inside glove slapping, hitting elbows and gloves. Not clean scoring punches. He was also throwing quite low at times as well which seems to be ignored.

People bang on about oh golovkins shot this and that before actually taking a breather and reading into it. He had the flu.. His trainer confirmed it.. And just look at GGGs face in the ring walk and in the ring before the bell... He literally looks like he should be in bed.

Despite all this, he won 7 rounds and almost knocked a solid competitor out in the first round... At aged 37.

Something to consider about D-Chenko is that he doesn't punch hard, at all, and it is much more obvious in person than whole watching a recording. Gervonta Davis and Broner punch harder than him and I dont mean in pfp terms. That probably has a lot to do with why he tends to lose close fights. His style is less favorable in person.

Well i just rewatched the fight right now, no booze, no people influencing my card, and without Bias

    Round 1 GGG 10-8
    Round 2 GGG 10-9
    Round 3 Derev 10-9
    Round 4 Derev 10-9
    Round 5 Derev 10-9
    Round 6 GGG 10-9
    Round 7 Derev 10-9
    Round 8 Derev 10-9
    Round 9 Derev 10-9
    Round 10 Derev 10-9
    Round 11 GGG 10-9
    Round 12 GGG 10-9

    Winner: Sergey Derevyanchenko 114-113

I just felt in the rounds that Chenko won he was the busier fighter. GGG in alot of the rounds was throwing single shots, and chenko would bounce right back with combinations in bunches everytime he got hit. Definitely one of GGGS toughest fights in his career. Chenko deserves alot of credit for the performance he put on that night. Great fight!

Im about to watch Bojado-Rubio 1 and see if my card changes.

    How about 40?

    They're leaving nothing to chance.

I felt that this was Golovkin's closest fight. I had it 6 rounds apiece with the KD being the difference in GGG's favour. That said, if Sergey had gotten the nod I feel that 7-6 to SD would also have been acceptable and that Golovkin couldn't complain too much. Derevyanchenko really dug deep in this one.
