We won today, 4-1 against Guarani.

 

Vic did you ever hear or see Matt Le Tissier in the 90s? He was my towns greatest footballer (well from Guernsey, Channel Islands but lived and played for Southampton his whole career)

 

I see people mentioting him a few times in the Lounge but I really don´t know who he was too well, I´ll check out on youtube though :good

Flea, you know who I remember pretty well on Southampton ? Phillips ! I remember there was a show about the PL and this guy was always scoring goals.

Vic you should read that, it's a beautiful description of Le Tiss' ability IMO.

I knew he was one of Xavi's favourite players.

As for Phillips, he's a natural goalscorer. Scored some great goals for Saints, but was at his best for Sunderland IMO.

Very prolific striker Phillips.

 

Le Tissier was my boyhood hero before I got into boxing and still one of my favourite people. After a few seasons he was fat, barely trained and liked eating pies. Yet his talent was no natural he was PFA player of the year in '95.

Has scored many, many ludicrously insane goals.
