What's your basis for saying that the public didn't recognize Floyd as the real champion?

Anyhow, Liston rose to prominence during the years when Floyd had his trilogy with Ingo. When that was done he got his shot at the title.

When Ingo secured his title shot by beating Machen in 1958, Liston hadn't done much of note yet.

Except he did duck him and foreman sticks with this story as recently as this year.

Foreman's said a lot of things. About a month ago he responded to a fan on twitter asking him if Tyson ducked him. Foreman's response: "Tyson never ducked anyone!"

So Tyson must've ducked Mercer, Moorer, Morrison, Bowe, Witherspoon, Weaver, Coetzee, Page, Dokes, Cooper, Damiani, a rematch with Tucker, and whoever else he never fight...right?

If Tyson didn't go to prison they would've fought. Bottom line.

Patterson for me, he was smaller than most of his competition more than Tyson and similarly successful. I'm also not sure Tyson deserves to be ranked above him in general. Yep, what Floyd did during his reign was less impressive than Tyson's. However, what he did after was IMO way more impressive.

Excuses. Foreman was availablr and an active ranked fighter before, during, and after Tyson was in prison.

How hard could it really be to make the fight happen? Do you think its a coincidence Ruddock, Smith, Stewart, and Bruno were the only big punchers Tyson faced? He somehow avoided all these killers in the 80's and 90's and gets praised as the most feared puncher ever.

Tyson was exposed when he fought Douglas and Holyfield. Amazing talent, but very cleverly managed and avoiding the majority of noteworthy prime contenders and bangers.

The post question is pound for pound. Well Floyd was a top boxer at 3 weights ; Olympic middleweight champ at 17, albeit amateur. Rose to number 1 contender at lightheavy. Then heavyweight champion. Had there been cruiser, he would have excelled there as well. P for P, F.P for me.

Aha, I know who you are. Welcome back to my ignored list.

Tyson went to prison dummy. He wanted the title back first. In fact, after Foreman lost to Holyfield and Tyson beat Ruddock for a 2nd time, King offered Foreman $20 million to fight Tyson but Foreman wanted another shot at Holyfield's belts. Tyson was about to leave King if he didn't get Holyfield next, so King catered to Tyson and got him the title shot he coveted.

    Comprendes?

So because i disagree with u i have to be a dupe? Lmao, youre delusional, several people agree with me and im nowhere near the first person to support this argument.

Tyson was only in prison for three years but he was active for three decades (80's, 90's, early 2000's). So was foreman. Foreman repeatedly called him out before and after prison and it never happened. You cant just ignore that.

The fact tyson flexed on king and forced king to get him the holyfield fights destroys your argument. If tyson REALLY wants to fight someone even a guy as greedy and controlling as don king cant stop it.

So once again, what are the excuses for tyson miraculously avoiding mercer, bowe, moore, foreman, briggs, tua, and a prime lewis? All these big names and heavy hitters conspicuously absent from his resume.
