I may be wrong but I would not sleep on this Boswell, he is a big guy with one loss and has showed power,speed and defense. He may be old but has not been in too many wars. Alex should win but this is a much bigger chin-tester than Chagaev, Chambers, or anyone A.P. has fought....I wonder what Teddy is thinking Boswell may be the Corrie Sanders of today..... He's only a potential threat because he's an unknown. No one really knows how good Boswell is at this stage. Atlas is usually active in scouting the opposition and has probably seen a weakness in Boswell's recent fights which he is planning to use against him. Boswell was the fighter Vitali Klitschko was preparing to face on the undercard of Lennox Lewis-Kirk Johnson, when the Lewis-Vitali fight got made. After missing out on that fight, he suffered a tough loss to McCline in which he was stopped during the last round while ahead on the scorecards. He was out of boxing for 3 years until making his comeback in 2006. He has been undefeated since but has not taken on a single top contender.
The guy is 35-1 and although I missed the McCline fight, I heard he did well before the stop. He recently beat Oliver McCall and had a nice KO over Greenberg....I don't know if he can beat Alex but could be a sleeper and if he is as hungry as he says, you never know

Cedric Boswell - 42 years of age, no recent quality oppsition, and a careeer that has multiple periods of inactivity..... I don't think there's much to get excited about.
A stay busy fight for money. there's nothing worse than going back to the times when guys defended their title like 3x in 30 months, and one of those guys would be a soft opponent like this. Just think of all the great WBA title fights recently......
Povetkin looked like ass against Chagaev. Really didn't show much against a low work rate fighter who's years past his best because of brutal beatings, inactivity, career ending injuries and STD's :-(
Briggs was not Vitali's first pick. Didn't David Haye back out of the fight? Still Briggs was a former lineal champion, and somewhat recent champion WBO champion when he defeated Laychovich. He could punch, and is far better than Boswell. Briggs took a beating and said Vitali hits harder than Foreman. Since he has returned to the ring after long layoff, Vitali has beaten several top ten contenders. If you have fight 2-3 title defenses a year, you are entitled to a guy on Briggs level if other negations back out or stall. We'll see if Haye ( who you picked to upset Wlad ) can sign and show up this time.
Ced is a good fringe contender. He'll go some rounds. He just doesn't have it to beat an elite fighter. Roman Greenberg was a prospect, and McCall is washed up. Nothing in those wins, his best, to show he can handle Povetkin.
