Millions more will watch in Germany and there is no PPV.

We should dump the yank model which makes the promoters and elite fighters far too much money and follow the german model which provides huge exposure for the sport.

Froch earning over £10m for fighting Groves and Matt Legg approx £10k for fighting AJ on the same card is sick.

Why is it sick? These fella's have worked their t1ts off to reach the pinnacle of their sport and they deserve big paydays imo. You've got footballers making 200k a week but they're not putting their life on the line every time they go on a football pitch.

With the right fights the model works well.

you sound so bitter all the time, as if something went wrong in your future plans and now you hate to see others doing well. It's only ever the same thing with you on here

Yes I fully agree that Football wages are extremely sickening.

The issue for me is that a few minutes acting sucks in thousands of mugs and very mediocre fights at best are now PPV.

Is boxing any bigger in Germany than the UK?

Ask Vlad what he thinks of the fight being on PPV in the UK and I'm sure he is just fine with the numbers who will pay to watch it.

This may come as a surprise to you but the reality is fighters want to fight on PPV. That's where the huge paydays are and any fighter who says they don't want to be a PPV fighter is lying.

Froch deserved his payday as the ticket sales and PPV numbers justified it. People didn't buy it to watch it Matt Legg.

Exactly. The way some people go on its like they believe people are forced into buying a fight on PPV.

Its like any other form of entertainment ... Id rather see someone like Froch earn 10m for a fight like that than see someone like Ben Affleck earn $15m a film or Taylor Swift who earned $170m last year or like you said footballers (although I still rate them above actors and popstars as an example)

if you don't like it, don't buy it, quite simple. And if you stream these cards, which i assume you do, why are you still moaning if you watched it for free?

I don't buy this tripe and never will.

Mugs and money easily parted - Edwina milking them for every drop of urine

My main gripe with PPV is when the main fight can't carry the event, so the undercard ends up with decent fights (e.g. Joshua vs Molina). That's when boxing fans are being taken for a ride.

No problems with Haye vs Bellew as the undercard was garbage. The vast majority paying for that are paying for the main event. That's fine. If you were suckered in you were suckered in...

Look at the list of Sky Box Office PPVs - it is mainly a pile of croc with only 1-2 exceptions.

Even Clev v Bellew 2 was PPV along with AJ v a 5 pack of Bean Tins
