Pray For "El Terrible"!

I think it's crazy this fight is even being sanctioned, as Erik Morales, one of my favs, is many, many years past his sell by date.

He has the heart of a warrior, and is an ATG. But tonight he is facing a dangerous puncher at a weight where Erik has really not fought anyone of note, and several pounds above where he was last competitive.

I like Maidana, and wish him the best, but I don't think I could bear to see something bad happen to Morales.

No matter what happens, let's all pray for his safety, even in defeat. He deserves to walk away from the sport in one piece.

He's given us countless great moments over the years. For this, I think a prayer for his safety is the least we can do.

I'd love one last hurrah, and I think you might get breif moments where Morales looks like he can turn back the clock, but ultimately I think tonight will be a losing effort for Erik.

Dude, he's one of my favs who is walking willingly into a buzzsaw. If I want to pray for his safety in a fight where he is a prohibitive underdog, I will do so, thank you very much.

I am picking Morales to win. Not because Erik is fighting great, but because Maidana looks a little overrated and Morales is still a great fighter. I wouldn't be surprised is Maidana stops Morales in 3 rounds or so, but I still pick Morales to show why he was great before-just a gut feeling that Maidana is not that good. If Morales wins it will most likely be by decision, but it would be based on body punching.

Decided to stay up and watch this as Morales is probably my favourite fighter of all time. Mixed emotions really. Great to have the chance to see him on the big stage again and hoping he can pull it off... Also hoping he doesn't further tarnish his legacy or, God forbid, get hurt. Prayers for both the fighters and indeed all fighters safety... War Erik!!!

People forget the Morales vs Díaz fight...I don't see a single way how my countryman could win. Just hope he comes Ok after the fight TBH,
