Marquez PTS if he cuts The Baby Bull he'll get him outta there. Pirog close pts, I'm not sold on Jacobs yet. Stylistically this appears to be a hard job for Pirog, but I've been simpressed by him. Juarez will stop Linares late. Nothing in Linares suggests to me he'll do any better at evading Juarez than Chris John managed to, his competition has been soft and his punch resistance appears dodgy. Juarez TKO 12 I still think Guerreros head is not in the game. Keeps going up in weight, his wives health problems and the odd fight against Yordan. Casamayor is way past it but canny, tough and has pop. I think he'll win a decision. Don't know anything of Bika's opponent. Sorry.
Why "UD", "MD" or "SD" guys? I've never understood that pick, go with either close, clear or wide decision. No need to second guess what the judges are going to do, just go with how you see the fight panning out (IMHO)
Gotta agree Gaz, that one always sends me loopy. I mean seriously, what are the odds of predicting an SD or an MD. Just go with who you think will win a fight, or if its really that ****ing close just call it a draw.
I actually just always put either TKO for stoppage or UD for points, just out of habit, don't know why.
Same, just out of laziness really. I didn't know it affected so many people, I'll make an effort to be more conscientious in future.
Its a bit of a pet hate of mine but people put "SD" when then mean a close decision or a "UD" when they mean a wide decision. They aren't the same thing at all, you can have a close UD or a wide SD. Its how do YOU see the fight with maybe a disclaimer about the judges favoring one fighter or the other. (Sorry, its a pet hate. Rant over!!):bbb
**** off! Would you regard your UD pick being wrong if one judge scored for the wrong fighter and it ended up a SD??
Juan Manuel Marquez v Juan Diaz II - Marquez close. I think Diaz will be more careful and hold Marquez very close in a thrilling battle. But I was wrong the first time so wouldn't trust my pick. Danny Jacobs v Dmitry Pirog - Jacobs clear Sakio Bika v Jean Paul Mendy - Bika close. Better than he's given credit for. Jorge Linares v Rocky Juarez - Linares close, but debatable. Juarez will grind him down later on, but despite having his man going, he'll run out of time. As usual. Joel Casamajor v Robert Guerrero - Guerrero clear. The first four rounds will be close, but Guerrero will outwork the Cuban.
Well if I wrote 'UD' I suppose I would be wrong if someone's keeping count. Unless I had actual money on it, personally my thought process wouldn't get as far as to give a ****.
