No one really. At NOTHING that comes close to what you and Sweet Pea have posted. Pea really covered his based. fitzgeraldz just asks "What if Floyd does this..." which isn't an argument for his favor really.

Only Corrales was ranked by Ring top 5 at the time.

Castillo was nowhere near top 10 P4P when Floyd faced him. Corrales was top 5 I think, and Hatton was in the top 10.

Don't agree with that, Mayweather adopts better and faster than abody in boxing today. Can't see Whitaker beating Mayweather 8-4 rounds. I can see him beating Mayweather, but at the same time I can see Mayweather beating him as well. I believe the outcomes is either SD or draw.

I find that DLH's work against Mayweather gets very underrated here -- I didn't have him winning that fight, mind you, but all the same I thought he did far better than most people think. The main problem is (as SS said) that people seem to have trouble registering the difference between blocked shots and flush shots. DLH blocked a LOT (and I really was surprised at this) of Mayweather's punches, and actually got some very good bodyshots in at times. He doesn't get enough credit for that match, and too many people dismiss it as an easy win for Mayweather.

It's also worth noting that a past his prime Whitaker made a prime (and faster, more fluid and well conditioned) DLH look far more foolish and outclassed at times than Mayweather did, at one or two points even making him miss 5+ punch combinations at point blank range.

    Good post Outboxer.

Slicksouthpaw16, Even if you think Mayweather won, you have to agree with the conclusion that a past prime Whitaker made DLH look foolish, while a prime PBF struggled to a 7-5 like decision against an inactive DLH.

    Haha, that's a neat gif.

Just from looking at that you can see the dramatic gap in speed that DLH had at the time of that fight when compared to his recent fight with Mayweather. I wonder how Mayweather would have reacted to combinations like those coming at him.

At 147, IMO a prime DLH beats PBF by UD.

Oscar is orthadox and 5'10. Whitaker is 5'6 and Mayweather is 5'7. That is an even fight. We should not try to find an outcome judging on how they both look against one fighter. Mayweather and Whitaker are the same size. Ricardo Mayorga beat Vernon Forrest and Forrest beat Shane Mosley, but does that mean that Mayorga could beat Mosley because Forrest did? Styles makes fights.

    Hatton was top 5 --
He cracked the top 10 when he faced Tszyu and top 5 when he went up in weight and beat Collazo.

I have a ring magazine right here right now back in 06' when all 3 of those guys were rated top 10.

    PBF
    Winky
    Barrera
    Morales
    PacMan
    JMM
Hatton - cracked top 5 after Collazo fight
    Corrales
    JT
    B-Hop

My mistake for the Castillo --

I thought he might have cracked the rank 10 some time but I was mistaken
