Rounds won't help Price. He's too flawed to fix. He needs to take a gamble against someone like Chisora or Hammer, if he's able to win then he can sit on his ass and wait for a big cash out opportunity. That's the best path he can choose.
I actually think Lewison would probably KO Price lol. Look at what he did to Dallas and Hoffman, Price really is only a hair better than those kind of guys at this point. Price doesn't have the tools to box and keep a pressure fighter like Lewison off of him for an extended period of time, and he's not throwing the right hand with any authority anymore. He's a glass cannon who's mentally ruined and really at this point can't really be called that because he's so timid.
I d say stick him in with lewiston and dave allen. Back to back in quick succession. Both still better than the guys hes been fighting. See how it goes. Price should have too much for both of them. If he takes them out without too many problems which he should. Hes back ready to step it up again. With price i d up it slowly. Pushing him in with anyone too soon on his rebuilding job will end with him falling apart. Get him on a run again. Theres no better way getting confidence in a boxing ring as a heavyweight than going in there and knocking guys out. His last two fights have been a waste of time. His rebuilding job after tepers just been wasted fighting the pair of them. He needs to be on that december 10th bill. He also needs not to be in the opposite corner to joshua. They also need to change how he trains. I m not sure what hes doing currently. But joshuas training would suit him better. Fast explosive training sprints etc. You ve got a big powerful guy at 6 foot 8. Hes got a shaky chin. Hes quite slow. Isnt calm. Looks worse when he tries to think about things. Has no jab. Get him in their looking for the ko. Dont bother comcentrating on his weaknesses its too late to fix them. Concentrate on his strengths. Their trying to make him lennox lewis atm...but hes got half the ingredients missing.
I have to agree because he hasn't shown us anything recently to counter that assessment. But I'd like to see him get rounds, I want to see if his stamina issues have been addressed and how he copes mentally when he is in with somebody who keeps him honest. That's not a bad shout actually, Chisora is OK, I'd watch it.
Yep. Still making all the same mistakes, still throwing that awful pushing jab... He's too flawed and physically fragile to turn into a good tall fighter. If he's to have success(or at least a chance of it) He needs to come to terms with the fact that his chin is awful, he's technically ****, physically fragile, awful stamina etc. BUT that he has a killer right hand that can hurt or knock out almost anyone in the division if it lands flush. If he accepts and embraces this, I think he could become and early round danger to almost anyone. And could potentially gamble and prevail against the likes of Chisora, Hammer and earn a big cash out fight. But that's only IF he can come out throwing the right hand with authority, and IF it lands before he himself gets taken out.
No way Price should go anywhere near Whyte he'd get destroyed he's better off chasing te Joshua payday and then retire.
Would like to see the Whyte fight but can't see it happening. They won't risk Price as he's being lined up for a soft voluntary for AJ. Price won't fight Allen because he knows there's a chance he'd lose so he will avoid Whyte like the plague who would KO him easily.
I don't see HOW this would be any different from his "fight" against Teper. He will taken out clean by the first clean shot that lands, because he is mentally gone, and will fight scared. And Whyte proved against AJ that he is good enough to land and get the job done.
Whyte will finish off Price for good.....totally the wrong fight to be looking to make if they want him to build his confidence up as Whyte will shatter it again.
Whyte is too confident and aggressive for Price. Hits hard enough to knock him out too. Price is a spent force. Once he steps up he'll get butchered again
Price needs a good trainer first of all, good sparring, and fight several easy fights before fighting anyone who can fight back...............he needs to work on his stamina and defense, he has the power..............he could fight Dimitrenko to prepare for example, but even for that fight he needs a couple easy fights, he should fight very often, keep active, fight once per month if possible for a year, then he would be so much better.............
Could Hughie 'Feather Fists' Fury get a rare KO win over Price? That'd actually be a fight I'd be up for watching.
