Lewis's two losses. Firstly, under Pepe Correra after dominating the first round was given the brilliant advice "Just go out there and knock this bum out", something Steward wouldn't do, plus he was still slightly green. Secondly after filming on Oceans 11 Lewis trained for TWO weeks for a fight at an altitude of 5000ft. Lewis had a good chin, but his movement/tying up was his main strengths, the two reasons above show that his main defence was effected.
Where to people get this idea that Lewis will stop Ali from? Someone please tell me.. A lesson in boxing - It's not fair to compare eras. 6'5 Lewis probably does beat 6'3 but, thats not a fair comparison. It is fair to say that Lewis and Ali are both relatively tall for their era, so height won't influence the outcome. Ali is far to good - to fast of head, foot and hand. Lewis/Foreman is interesting. If Lewis moved more, he'd probably win. But, he doesn't move enough. Big George would stop him. I agree with Blu87 that styles make fights and Tyson is all wrong for Foreman. But, Tyson does not beat Ali. Tyson is perfect to beat a boxer like Ali; but not Ali himself. Boxers hate pressure, hate having to work for their rounds, hate having to move. It tires them. Pressure will cause fatigue, which causes **** form (like dropping hands, not moving their fit with their head) and getting stopped. Also, Tyson beat blokes mentally - before they got in the ring. Problem with Ali is that he could fight 15 rounds without too many dramas, had a good chin and unshakable self-beleif. Ali UD's Tyson unless he tires him and wins be stoppage. His too fit, too mentally tough. I 100% agree that Tyson should be Ali, but because he is so fit - 12 pressure rounds won't be as much of a drama for him, as it would others. And Tyson will not knock him out or beat him mentally. Just my 0.02c.
That's I'm thinking too, Big george had something that Lewis would really like. He didn't bother to get hit to give one shot. Unfortunatly, Lewis had one of the best right hand in history(if not the greastest). I agree it's far from an easy walk from Lewis but neither for Foreman And Ali even if he had a granit chin, didn't like to expose it, rather feint and move with totally amazing speed. Lewis would start gaz in late round and also start to get tired of Ali's speed by taking more risk, which would be deadly. And I don't think Tyson was the best HW in history but he was all wrong for Ali cause he was one of the few to be fast as much as Ali. I'd expect a head hunt in early rounds. A brawl against Foreman and Tyson, I think would so unfair for Tyson.
Dude your damn right about Ali's mental strengh. No clue how about this fight would end like, but I just say Tyson was able to end a fight at the start. Even if the opponent was fresh like a rose. You don't even have time to think that your on the ground. It's one of the fight I would have like to see to most
