The Nelson that put a beating on Thompson would absolutely hurt Yarde.

Nelson was on spectacular form that night as he was aggressive and had a grudge.

Johnny could be very nasty on his best day. He'd hammer Yarde, and he'd enjoy doing it too.

    Mid-late KO for "The Entertainer".

I think Nelson was prime in his last fight :)

I think thats how I would see it also.
Nelson had wanted the fight with Thompson for a while and it was one of those really good British fights where it had hype and two world class CWs fighting for a world title.

Its one of those fights where I think you had to be in the country to really appreciate it. Fans from different countries I doubt would think it was really decent win when it was.

Alot of hype is often built from knowing who the athletes are

    Was at Haye/Thompson fight.
Thompson really did suck it up and come back. Very brave game man.
Although losing, Haye showed how great his potential was after so few fights and rounds

To be fair, people missed this because of Johnny Nelsons name, and reputation, he did polute the air a few times and people when they saw his name thought "Boring"...

I didn't i carried on watching him and was genuinely pleased that he had some success

Nelson always comes across as a good guy and does a good job working for Sky IMO

He does, and folk should forgive him for the CDL fight, i had one round in it to the ref, so that is hardly Johnnys fault!!

Can’t put Yarde in any category yet he’s being overhyped because he’s obe if Warrens hopes cos he looks the part bla bla bla but that’s why he will not be tested properly for ages! Nelson beats him all day long as cw

Johnny was class and this is the reason we are still talking about him
It would go the distance with AY but JN would be a head by 7 0r 8 rounds including one knockdown in the 8th

How is that for a beginners prediction :)

Far too early for this isn't it...

Johnny Nelson, established world champion with wins over the likes of Jones & Thompson, undefeated for the final 10 years of his career.

Anthony Yarde, 14 fights into his career has yet to really fight anyone of note and campaigns at LHW....

    Come on.
