Yet Douglas used that style to KO him

No, I didn't intend to twist.
I don't think many of those had much relevant stylistic similarity and Holmes was much better anyway.
Williams was similar to Holmes but not durable.

I think most boxers tend to move around and shoot out jabs and right hands, so if that's what you mean. yeah, I can't disagree with that.

Yes, but as I've been told a million times before, (in Tyson logic) the fact that Douglas had a 'similar style' to guys Tyson beat already more or less proves that Douglas can't beat Tyson !!!!

I'm noticing that you pretty consistently make a fool of yourself on here. More fuel to the fire.

Holmes in his late 20's early 30s would of easily out boxed Tyson. This isn't up to debate. Tyson could never handle anybody who had a decent jab and could box. That is why he struggled with guys like James Tillis, Tony Tucker and got knocked out by Douglas.

Hell I would say a in shape Holmes at the age he fought Tyson would of did better. Holmes was out of shape and didn't fight in almost 2 years when he faced Tyson.

Holmes was most known for a quick, snappy jab. Other than that, he had a pretty good right hand, chin/stamina, and set of legs. He mostly fought at range. The guys I've listed check more of those boxes than not. Similar height, weight, reach in general too.

Or maybe your just a full time fool as opposed to me being a part time one??

Okay, maybe that's too harsh. I think you have a wacky way of picking fantasy fight winners but other than that, no issue.

Bringing up Buster Douglas without legitimate context is like handing me a club next to a dead horse and asking me what I want to do w the club.

Bringing up Douglas is fair enough, I believe, in that context.
In response to "Tyson beat a whole slew of fighters with similar style to Holmes", pointing out Douglas beat him is fair.

Talking about who beat who kind of proves nothing though.
Prime Tyson never fought prime Holmes or anything close really, and the reverse is also true.

Bringing up Douglas without context is like bringing up Holmes' fight with Tyson without context. They obviously weren't at their best.

Okay, but how relevant is mentioning all those other boxers who you say were similar to Holmes ?
And you also did list old Holmes.
I think 1990 Tyson is closer to prime 1988 Tyson than Tyrell Biggs/Carl Williams/Frank Bruno/oldHolmes are to prime Holmes.

If we're talking about styles, which you were. 1990 Tyson was closer in style to 1988 Tyson than any of those guys are to prime Holmes.

Ok Kool I can live with that.
Ive expressed in other posts that I am not a very good writer so I have at times ALOT of trouble getting my point across with writing. I get my point across much clearer when Im speaking.

The Douglas fight does put some points in Holmes' favor. Tyson happened to look like dog sh it since before a punch landed but Holmes was better than "Tokyo" Douglas anyway. Tyson's resume before that fight does suggest that he, at very least, wouldn't be in over his head against Holmes (ditto Ali). His resume does a lot less to prove he could beat Lewis.
