I just made counterpoint to a poster prattling on about Marciano's stamina as though he had exclusive rights to the quality. Let me put it like this . Whose stamina is more proven a man who went 20 rds numerous times ,who went 15 rds when he was 48year s old who went 26 rds in tropical heat at the age of 37 and who was in front after 20rds.Who went 10 rds when he was 52?. OR A man who only went 15rds once in his entire career and that against a past prime ex lhvy?
The obvious counterpoint to that argument is that Marciano's fights were fought at a much higher pace than those of Johnson and pals. What if I find you a guy that fought 100 round fights? Best stamina ever? Or specious argument?
The obvious response to this is you haven't seen these fights ,so you are talking from ignorance. I reiterate Marciano never set a fast pace ,out of the 4 swarmer champions he set the slowest pace. But a neat duck of the question on your part.
I am curious, who are the other so called "swarmers" with faster pace than Rocky? I dislike the generalisation "swarmer" at the best of times but it will be intresting to see what categorisation method you have.

Actually, it's surprising how low Marciano's output was in many of his top fights. I remember doing a punch count on the Walcott and Layne fights. There were quite a few sub 40 punch rounds. Granted, he was actively stalking all the time but his actual punch output was lower than one might imagine.
