Hearns was at middleweight...what does the Barkley fight have to do with Margarito and a Hearns fight. You are basing this off one performance Margarito had, and Hearns chalked up an all-time great career. Hearns is faster, Bigger, stonger hits way harder and is more skilled than Cotto so using that as a parameter for a Margarito victory isn't close to being realistic....

Another classic case of getting caught up in the hype. Ask Roberto Duran if Hearns would KO Margarito. Hearns, Leonard, Duran all would of beaten both Marg & Cotto. Not taking anything away from Marg's win, fantastic for him but Tommy's right hand was a punch you couldn't take all night.

Hearns wins by split dec. I cant see Hearns KOing Tony. I could see Hearns boxing somewhat the way Paul Williams did but even then Hearns chin isn't like Paul williams. I see Hearns trying to outbox Margo the way he did vs Sugar Ray. Hearns would be winning the early rounds and Margo getting started round the 8th. Hearns would get dropped late and try to survive with the jab. NO one has gone to the body on Hearns the way Margo would. HEarns wins the dec but leaves spectators wondering what would have happened if Marg would have started earlier

All im saying is that presure is what Hearns had trouble with. Ask around and you'll see why he had trouble with the kronks gym legend and Aaron Pryor...pressure

Ive never seen this fight but just doin a little boxrec search. This guy went the distance with Hearns. Maybe he was more of a boxer with a good defense or somthing, but his record isnt great and he saw the final bell. Before Hearns got to him he had been Koed a few times already. Please enlighten me on it. I am a huge fan of Margo and think his chin is stellar. While not impossible that Hearns can KO him It is also not impossible for Margo to last.

Hearns lost to Barkley at MW in a bout he was clearly winning before getting caught. Barkley had far better one punch power than Margarito as well and was an overall more skilled fighter.

Comparing the two is utter nonsense and shows that you simply don't know a goddamn thing about boxing and need to log off forever.

I am about tired of this ****ing forum.

Hearns stops him in the mid rounds and I am a Margarito fan.

yes a man needs more then a chin but i noticed u conveniently forgot about the endurance i wrote about. Margarito gets an A plus in that category too. Lombardi once said that fatigue makes coward of us all. And Your above sentence, "If you get hit less and hit more you win." This sentence shows your ignorance about professional boxing. What your referring to is called amateur boxing. In professional boxing fights are not scored that way. For a good example moron, Cotto got hit less and hit margarito more on sat. night. The last i checked he lost. Please don't respond to this post u just keep exposing yourself for the insecure moron that in your heart you really are. Don't worry there is help out there for people like you. Go buy a big mirror and take a good look at yourself. You'll be glad you did. And once you've gained some security in yourself log back on and send me your gratitude.

Hey jusren, do everyone a favor and walk into oncoming traffic. You're simply adding to the ridiculous trolling problem this forum is already infested with.

Leonard beats Margarito, UD. To fast and everyone talks about PBF. Sugar did it just as fast, and with blazing combinations. Good power, great ring generalship, and an excellent chin. Cintron`s power isn`t ven in Hearns league. Not to mention Hitman had the Ole gunslinger mentality. He`d stare down margarito during the refs instructions. And once the bell rang, he would jump all over him. As for the barkley fight, Herans wasn`t as effective at middleweight. Cintron fought margarito scared. And , if he had to. Hearns could give Margarito a boxing lesson. Realistically the Duran of Montreal would have posed a problem for Margarito. Duran was a master of battling in the trenches...

Lombardi once said that fatigue makes coward of us all. Never has a better sentence explained physical competition. And Your above sentence, "If you get hit less and hit more you win." This sentence shows your ignorance about professional boxing. What your referring to is called amateur boxing. It's understandable why u think this way because in life, your an amateur in the way u think. In professional boxing fights are not scored that way. For a good example moron, Cotto got hit less and hit margarito more on sat. night. The last i checked he lost. Now, before you get your panties in an uproar and write, "that's because cotto got ko." Cotto was also trailing on two of the judges scorecards. He was leading on none.
