Prime Mike Tyson vs Prime Vitali

As a fan of both Tyson and Vitali, I would say they would both give the other all they could handle, as they would any of the greats throughout history…and the same could be said of those greats.

I get the feeling this thread is part of an argument more about modern fighters yet to cement themselves as a great…

 

It is when you lose against the best as opposed to beating a 46yo and then losing to Bruno.

Vitali defeats the Tyson of anywhere after the 80's.

Tyson counter punching inside lower stance could cause shovel puncher Vitali to go off balance and land huge shots on him by missing lunging blows.

On the other hand Vitali could stuff Tyson by making it an ugly fight by hitting and grabbing where Tyson showed he was lazy at times and worked very little on the inside of clinched.

it's a 50/ 50 fight that favors Vitali only bc the reach difference which could cause problems for Tysons combination punching which he needs to win here.....

The best Tyson vs the best Vitali would either have Tyson knocking him out before mid rounds or Vitali win in a close UD win!

This is why Vitali edges it , he has shown to be much more difficult to K.O in what we've seen ,and we then have to envision Tyson stopping a elite 6'7 250 pounder with a punch as well!

There's plenty more intangibles that favor both !

Anyone claiming its outrageous to pick one over the other are being fanboys or deliberate detractors of the other fighter. Tyson is by far the better fighter skillwise and my favorite fighter of past but that doesn't mean I pick him just cause.....that's what you guys do on here...lol

Also if the number of defences are what matters then it proves that Wlad is better than Lewis and Calzaghe is better than Ward....get in thanks for that info you ****ing imbecile.
