I don't know what's more ridiculous, the fact this question was even asked or the fact people actually felt the need to vote.:patsch

TS, why ask a question you already know the answer too? and don't give me the old "I wanted other peoples opinions" bull****, you know fine well Duran would destroy Hatton as does everyone else.

I like Hatton, but Duran would stop him inside 5 rounds.

Ricky is the kind of style Duran loved. A guy who was a little limited in boxing ability and wanted to get in there and slug. But if Duran fought a mover like Mayweather he lost and then people gave him the excuses that he trained for a week.

Wouldn't be competitive enough to make a great fight. Everything Hatton does, Duran does a million times better. Not to mention he does a helluva lot more aswell.

i tell ya what then mate, dont ****in' comment!!! I asked the question because I think the two styles would make for a good, entertaining fight. Dont forget that back in his prime, ricky could take a fair ammount of punnishment so it would last a helluva lot longer than against pacquiao. Alls im asking is does anyone really give ricky a chance against him. If this thread upsets ya that much then dont bother posting in it. simple as that!!!

I agree with Duran winning this!!! But I think alot of people just see two names and say..duh...duran is better he wins by murder..or KO 1???

first I know bashing Ricky hatton is the recent flavor around here, but he was not a total scrub...beating Tszyu (past his prime or not) alone (not the rest of the names which also show this point) show that Ricky was competent against top level opposition...although I know people only remember PBF and Pac!!!

2ns why is Duran going to destroy him in 1???or less than 5??? From 75-80 Duran KO/TKO 6 guys in under 5 rds...what were their records???0-2, 0-1, 0-3, 4-4, 2-4 & 0-3....Clearly Duran is good and ATG level boxer, but that does not mean he blasted everyone out in 5 rds in reality..so why in hypotheticals do people go to the extreme????

Guys that duran took out in less than 10 rds in that same period???Emiliano Villa & Monroe Brooks, both of whom were able to fight for a title and not be succesful in those attempts!!!

Edwin Viruet 2X's, Saoul mamby, Javier muniz, Alfrdo Viruet, Jimmy Heair, Palomino and Gonzalez....all survived the distance with Duran and palomino is the only name I see that equals Ricky's...

Now Hatton ran the LWW division for a few years and to me is clearly above the names mentioned....could Duran KO him..yes, but hatton has to be considerred a live dog and able to survive this bout as well.

    1. How will Duran cope with a guy who is going to swarm him, and not give him room to opperate...clearly Duran has the better foot.hand speed and will find numerous countering opportunities...If Duran chooses to box him I believe he can, and might likely score a 10+ rd KO...in a war, I think Ricky survives and loses a close decision!

I hate when ATG's become unbeatable monsters in hypothetical matches even when reality does not justify it!!!

First your multiplication skills need a little work, and who did Duran KO inside of 6, that had more than 10 fights??? let alone was on the level of Ricky???

Duran is a fair pick, but we could use better information.
