You're a bit to hard on Harrison here again Billy.

Abelyan was a deserving mandatory challenger. Abelyan was the WBO NABO champion and he defended his title a few times and he also beat guys like Orlando Salido and former world champion Guty Espadas Jnr. After the Harrison fight, Abelyan beat Martin Honorio who was a good fighter and FW contender at the time.
Abelyan came over to Scotland with a good reputation and he was supposed to be the next Prince Naseem, But Scott sent him home to think again...

Where else does it need to be huge?

I know you don't like Scott and don't want him to fight again, but his fans do and Hearn's starting to sit up and take notice by listening to the fans.

Your wrong mate i was and still am a big SH fan i was at most of his big nights in braehead , my previous replys were just responses to peoples false hope of the big comeback i hope it happens but i maybe wrong , Politically and Ranking wise i just dont see it happening A) Because Scotts fighting under FW and Ricky EH B) Scott would need to rocket back up the rankings

Its all ifs and butts but hey you know whit they say , if yer auntie hud baws shed be yer uncle :good

Yeah Abelyn was very highly rated, remember he came over as the big hope that would dethrone the Champ. Scott put on a world class show that's how it ended early nothing else

Brodie also draw with Chi. Remember as you said Scott had the runs all day when fighting Mendina the first time, in the immediate rematch Scott hammered him black and blue and stopped him, it was a systematic beating. So 3 top 10 opponents when division was best in world, 3 knockouts

The Crawford fight was a big risk and Ricky took it

I'm sure that Ricky had to box him as he was a mandatory? I'm sure that I read that Billy and Ricky wanted a rematch with Beltran to put the record straight. I might be wrong.

Ricky should have 1-2 fights get his confidence back then look to fight for a title against another champion, I just think Crawford's style will always be one that he struggles with.

The big thing in rickys favour is he has a promoter with massive clout and TV Money behind him and Figueroa and Abril are not big crowd pullers nor money makers in the states so could be easily swayed over here to fight Ricky as could Vasquez with either Ricky or Mitchell

Never dodged a mandatory, the mandatory is made by governing body not the fighter, so how many are set is not down to the fighter Billy as you will know

By this thread do some folk then agree that SH isn't far off another world title shot?

    Because we know Ricky isn't.

Would need a serious scalp mate imo as he has no bearings in the rankings after a defeat from walsh who imo is a SFW

I think Hearn is as well, well lets hope he gives us what we crave, a return of our best boxer. I only gave Ricky 1 round v Crawford, a lot of people I know had it a complete shutout to Crawford. Scott Harrison would not lose 11 out of 12 rounds to any lightweight in the world, as he is not running away like Ricky. If Scott was 70% of prime he would beat todays Ricky Burns, with a bit to spare.
