If Toney's a technician, Hopkins is a master technician. In terms of ring smarts he's as good as they come.
I think it would be a very close fight but I don't think Toney has the advantage in terms of defense. How often did you see BHop getting hit clean?

    Hopkins suprisingly wide UD .

If Hopkins forces Toney on the front foot there is little Toney can do.

Toney thrives on making you come to him If Hopkins stays on the outside and makes toney come to him Hopkins wins a wide UD.

I can see both winning, but Toney takes 7 out of 10.

I honestly couldn't tell you. It would definitely be a chess match in my opinion.

Hopkins in a close one. Neither guy gets hurt too bad, but Hopkins finds a home for that right hand enough time to get the win.

Id watch purely for the innane, mind crushing boredom that would be post match excuses. Swearing and out ghettoing would be more exciting than the fight.

Why? I think it would be an intersting tactical fight, that would have some great counterpunching.

No, I like the fight, I do. I just would like to see the amount of psuedo Macho bull**** that would follow in the aftermath. Each man desperatly trying to protect their shell like ego, by saying Mother****er the most.

Haha Toney is like that Tough guy you know who automatically says he could knock anyone out, and re-enforces it by swearing like a nutter. And even fights he lost end up like La Motta/Robinson...............in his mind.

    :yep

"It's my world! My world! Y'all (expletive) is just livin' in it!" Toney hollered to the top of his lungs after going 10 rounds with Terry Smith last Monday, one of his final days of sparring in preparation for Saturday's heavyweight showdown with Evander Holyfield. "Look at his face! All of you so-called fighters and wanna-bes look at his face. I will do this to all of you in here! I don't care if you are a flyweight or a heavyweight or a ... or a ... a yo-momma-weight!"

    :rofl
