Tua was strong and tough... but there are few boxers, if anyone, that I pick over Prime Tyson.

I'm going with a Tua stoppage. Tyson can be hurt, and rocked. Take Bruno for a example, if he didn't have such a weak chin and poor stamina, he could have beat Mike in my opinion. If it's a long twelve round fight, Mike is easy to lure into a brawl. He is not as tough as Ibeabuchi, he is not going to survive trading toe to toe with Tua...

I agree with this to some extent. Although Tua's impotent performance against Lewis puts some question marks on whether he'd stand up to a prime Tyson attack. He might just try and survive like he did against Lewis.

When I see the punishment Tyson absorbed on his way to losing in his defeats he took and awful lot of punishment and was broken down. Look at him against Lewis - yeah he got stopped. Looked to me like he decided to stay down when Lewis dropped him. He was saying he was spent to his corner a round or so before and that he "couldn't get off" ie get his punches going. Now watch Tua vs Lewis - he felt one of two right hands and he himself went pretty cautious after feeling Lewis's power. I really dont think Tua could take as much punishment as Tyson did and still stay up and see the last bell. I really dont.

I've always felt that post-prison Tyson loses to David Tua. By that point, his timing and punching accuracy were off. He gradually abandoned combinations during this time, looking for one big bomb. All of this works to David's advantage, especially since he was in his peak years when Mike was returning to the ring.

Prime versus prime? I think Tyson wins it. He has more in his arsenal. But hey, anything can happen when you've got two explosive heavyweights coming forward at the same time. Tyson would be bobbing and weaving, probably ducking into Tua's best punches. Tua's shorter height would be another advantage. Then again, David hates getting hit in the body. Body punching was one of Mike's specials. Honestly, I see Tyson winning a decision.

The Bruno fight wasnt a peak Tyson, however yes Bruno rocked him but what happened? Tyson recovered instantly and wore Bruno down.

Also what people dont seem to remember is that Tyson had nearly a years inactivity between the Spinks and Bruno fight

Hes not as tough as Ike, but who did Ike ever fight? and secondly Tysons forgot more than Ike ever learnt

I hate to admit it but i agree

Post prison Tyson simply didnt have the bottle like he did before hand.

But after you spend 3 years in prison, people do change.

Tua got rocked plenty of times...You don't know Bruno if you think he had a bad chin. Bruno's problem was he gassed out somewhere between rounds 7-10...Tyson merely accomplished what no other fighter could, including an oft wobbled Lewis, he got Bruno out long before he gassed out in both fights...

Interesting how much this place really overrates certain fighters, especially one who could never win the big one.

Fight wouldn't have been short. I got Tyson by UD... somewhere around 8 rounds to 4.

just because tua has a chin doesnt mean he can stand up to prime tysons onslaught for 12 rounds, he doesnt have the defence to avoid shots so he would be eating them all night, and if he did last the distance he probably would never be able to fight again.

    tyson, easy.

prime tua was a one dimensional fighter with great power and a great chin....a bit like tyson when he was washed up..prime tyson has the speed and reflexes of a middleweight with the power of a big heavyweight, he has a great defence and a great chin....prime tyson vs prime tua would be a mismatch of skillsets, tyson would win comfortably, perhaps even stopping tua on volume....

post prison tyson vs tua could be a slow mo slugfest...50/50 fight
