no he won't, mayweather has never had a huge fanbase wheras cotto is getting the whole of puerto rico (even thought tito is still numbro uno) the hate for mayweather is because he aint the people's champ, he does what makes sence for him not for you and I. if cotto ever takes mayweather's throne then he will be liked because he is more of a people's champ.
