I dont think Wlad's usual basic gameplan would work here and he's not the type to make adjustments. Usyk would figure him out mid rounds and get a late stoppage imo.
If you look at the Sanders fight, Wlad couldn't see the left hands coming. I can imagine Usyk nailing Wlad with the same type of left hands. Imagine Usyk landing the same left hand that he hurt Fury with, Wlad would be on be ***** street.
Sanders hit harder and had faster hands than Usyk, though. Someone correct me if I'm wrong, but Wlad actually had a good record against southpaws.
Usyk can be hit. And Wlad hits a LOT harder than Fury. His jabs are almost on par with Fury's power punches.
Sparring and fight in the ring is really different not the same gloves too. And Wladimir Klitschko was at the end of his reign definetely not at his prime during this sparring.
Aging Usyk almost collapsed a slick boxer weighing 40lbs more than him. Wlad is no defensive mastermind. Usyk would ping his head around. His clinching wouldn’t work against Usyk as we saw with Fury failing to do so. Wlad relied on excessive jab and grab manouevres on small heavyweights (often illegal) Usyks too smart for him
Usyk stops every heavyweight who ever lived because he is that good. Sure he couldn't stop or hurt a faded Derek Chisora even though Chisora got destroyed by David Haye. But Usyk is just so fast and stkiled. You know so skilled that he still throws slapping arm punches even though he is pushing 40. So skilled that he never lands a high percentage of his punches regardless of who he fights. Then you wake up in realize this is reality and not a cartoon. Wlad at his peak destroys Usyk unless Wlad took pity on Usyk because they are both from the same country.
