Exactly. There's pre-Holyfield and post-Holyfield versions when you talk about Bowe.

The difference is like night and day. The Bowe Golota fought would probably lose to Klitschko. The Bowe Holyfield fought would probably beat Klitschko.

You do realize that, just before fighting Golota, Bowe became the first fighter to stop Holyfield inside the distance? This, before Holyfield twice beat Tyson?

Although I am in no way comparing the 1996 version of Bowe to the 1992 version, the '96 version was still considered the best in the division at the time, and rightly so.

Klitschko would beat Bowe worse than Golota did only he wouldn't get dq'd but instead put Bowe out legally.
Apparently Bowe's prime was one fight which would indeed make it the shortest in HW history, even shorter than the mythical "Prime Tyson".
Many say that Bowe was shot in the first Golota fight despite the fact he had KO'd Holyfield in the match previous, go figure.

    Bowe ?

1 Bowe had NO defense evryone who wanted to hit him could hit him

2 Bowe was outjabbed bu everyone who threw a jab at him that includes Hofyfield 1 where Holy was easily outjabbing Bowe when he chose to jab.

3 Bowe got the **** kicked out of him by Golota. Bowe is the only elite HW who got his ass kicked by Golota the other Lewis & Tyson quickly put Golota in his place.

Bowes only advantages are in fighting and chin Wlad has all the other advantages

:roflYeah and remember when BOWE was Ko'ed by Corrie Sanders...wait? That never happened. Who did Corrie Sanders KO again? And Golota would have crushed Wlad too. Wlad cant take a punch and Bowe can. Bowe KO early.

Bowe never faced any big punchers, in fact he never faced any big skilled men at all..... with the exception of Golota who thoroughly crushed him twice, and Lewis who stopped him in the amateurs and made him drop his belt in the pros.

Wlad is not a secure win, but i'd favor him. Bowe has no defence whatsoever (even journeymen had 50% connect percentages against him), does not have big one punch power, doesn't know how to throw a straight right hand which is always the punch that gets Wlad, and always eats many jabs.

Wasn't that around the time that Holyfield was diagnosed with hole in his heart? Plus the Bowe that showed up for the first fight with Golota was fat and out of shape. He was tipping over 250. At least 15 pounds over his prime weight. He may have technically been the best but I don't think he truly was. I think he was there for the picking.

Watch Golota vs Bowe II. Any round any time: Golota gets through with his jab (even slower ones) AS HE PLEASES. Bowe's defense is non-existent.

Bowe was a fighter with heart (= his chin was stronger than his performance), but
    1) he had no defense
    2) he had a somewhat weak punch (only 60% KO rate in non-bum fights), he TKOed only 9 non-bums in his entire career (Klitschko 21)
    3) he had little experience (fought only against 12 different non-bums)
    4) he refused to fight Lennox Lewis
    5) he was getting more and more out of shape (started with 220+ ended with 280)
    6) he was controlled rather easily by limited Golota

So these facts make me suppose that Klitschko would have dominated Bowe EASILY.

However, since Bowe had only approx 15 non-bum fights I think it's fair to say "It's too early to conclude anything, Bowe possibly had a puncher's chance although his performances do not support this view".

Klitschko woulds be too big for Bowe. The only HW of any consequence Bowe beat was the much smaller Evander Holyfield

ROFL Heart was the very thing Bowe lacked. How he could ever face the public after the shameful way he renaged on Lennox Lewis
