Primes: Wlad ~vs~ Lennox

Lennox always seemd to rush in againt tall rangey boxers with decent power, i.e golota grant and then knock them out quick.

ah true but the difference is the footspeed. golota was/is a very stationary target with little to no defense. he uses his face to defelect punches. wlad moves constantly and uses his left hand to maintain distance extremely well. do u ever notice wlad is bouncing on his toes and not flat-footed?

i guess lennox could go wild and swing for the fences early but he'd leave himself exposed to some big punches. that's just not his style. even in the golota/grant blowouts, he worked behind the jab and waited for the opening. wlad doens't give you many like that. lennox could end it late but i tend to think lennox wins a competitive but clear decision.

and wlad has way more power than golota in both hands.

it's not that bad. wlad's handspeed is better imo so he could hold a slight edge from the outside. but lennox was a very intelligent fighter who could adapt to his opponent. he would be the aggressor and find a way to score and land enough to win the fight. wlad just would be too hesitant to mix it up.

if they ever fought i'd be willing to do an avatar bet it goes to the cards rofl

 

While this may be true, Why did Lewis swing for the fences against Vitali? I remember Lewis telling Sanders to go for broke when he fights him, because he thought both brothers had glass chins, too bad Sanders had to pay for Lewis' bad advice.

I feel Lewis would go after Wlad if he knew he had a weak chin, even listening to him during the HBO telecast, it's pretty obvious that Lewis feels Wlad would be a pretty easy win for him, he seemed to be able to point out all the mistakes Wlad was making during the fight.

 

I know there's NO FRIGGIN WAY Wlad wins using just a jab and throwing maybe 20 right hands the whole night. Be a WIDE Lewis win.

 

lewis swang for the fences against vitali because it turned into a brawl started by vitali. also keep in mind, vitali stood in the pocket the whole fight trading with lewis. so he was a very stationary target as well.

lewis also gave wlad credit for his excellent defense and foot movement. then he said wlad used to have a weak chin but now has a great chin. :nut he was stumbling over his words all night. but i love him as a commentator cause of his accent and ridiculous commentary.

i also found the infamous roy jones commentary whre he says wlad should retire rofl.

Thank you, I was a fan of RJJ after that night. I swear, I had a tear in my eye after Jones let Brewster have it, saying how he should retire with a weak chin like that.

I wonder if youtube has the sound bite, of when RJJ said "Brewster needs to keep going to the body, to tire a big man like Klitschko out, Merchant- "Why Roy, Wlad doesnt have a glass body, his has a glass chin", I spit out my drink I was laughing so hard.

That is just nuthuggery so far removed from reality it beggars belief. What, do think Lennox Lewis is Sultan Ibragimov or David Tua or something? LL has a LONGER reach than Wladmir, is a far better boxer, 100 times better chin, 10 times stronger, more power, he wouldn't f'kin need to get inside . This clips shows that klitchkos survivor skills are much better than most people think. He was deadly exchausted and still he avoid a lot of punches.
