Any thoughts on the fact that he was all ready to fight Povetkin, until the latter failed a drug test?
What is with the constant carnera/baer/braddock threads? Is cinderella man running on movietime or smth?
Could see Wilder either stopping him in the first half of the fight or fading down the stretch en route to a UD.
Have you looked at Wilder's record? For five years - FIVE years, not one or two like most touted prospects - Wilder faced cab drivers, bar patrons and other utter tomato cans, and then stepped up to such world beaters as a washed up Fraudley Harrison and Sergei Lyakhovich - guys who weren't that good in their primes, let alone when Wilder faced them! Since he won the title against the VERY overrated Bermane Stiverne, he's been back to fighting teachers, soccer hooligans, and other very beatable mediocrities. Wilder's record is a JOKE and he is a FRAUD, who fights stiffs because he has a glass jaw and can't box very well to make up for it.
I see this finishing in round two. Who lands first? Carnera for me. Carnera much more often than Wilder.
It could seriously be argued that Carnera's first bona fide test came in his 42nd fight! Wilder's opposition is pretty underwhelming agreed but Carnera's was worse! Wilder fought 6 men with losing records. Carnera fought 17. Wilder fought his last one in his 14th fight. Carneras in his 94th! Wilder's last 6 opponents were . 18-0-1 36-4-1 20-1-0 32-2-0 23-2-0 24-1-1 Carnera's were. 33-6-4 31-6-4 28-5-4 0-0-0 0-0-0 0-1-0
