I never said it does. What it does do is establish that Carnera will not do what Tyson could not ,ie stop Green.I think that is a fair comment. Therefore Carnera has to win on points. The question is, is he likely to? I think I make Carnera favourite here, he wins a scrappy decision.
To be fair the only time Green was stopped in his career was when he quit/pulled an oliver mccall because he felt he wasnt getting paid enough. Mitch green had a legitimate iron jaw
Green was touted as a bit of a prospect when he turned pro but never really amounted to much. I think he lost a decision to Trevor Berbick at one point but then kinda faded into obscurity after the 2 fights against Tyson.
I think its fair to say Carnera was a level(not two just one) above Green in ability and several levels above in achievements
He gave Berbock a very tough fight, he only fought tyson once but took everything he had for 10 rounds
Green was a street fighter, who really never beat anyone in boxing. http://boxrec.com/boxer/3171 You could say Cummings was his best win, the problem is Cummings was 1 draw and two losses in his last three fights before meeting Green. Carnera wins here.
This is the bottom line. If results in the real world mean anything, then you have to favour Carnera.
Lol that's the one Ken. Who knows what the heck ali hoped to gain out of it. I no he ended up with clots or something in his legs with all the kicking going on!
Mitch green, for all his antics, the dread locks and shenanigans that came with him..as a pro he amounted to zero. On paper there is nothing to say Green could beat any of the contenders Primo beat. All we have to go on is what green actually delivered in the ring. Not many wins worth anything.
