Primo Carnera vs Nikolay Valuev

Oh, and as for Louis beating Chagaev.....come on....let's be serious here.

 

If a old Holyfeld can beat Valuev than I think Carnera could too.

 

Stylistically, he looks much more like Vitali than Wlad actually, but he's a lot slower than either of them as well, and his chin was just as bad as Wlad's.

 

I don't think he's much if any slower.

Watch them right next to eachother and pay attention to their movement. They appear to be moving at the same pace.

It's not like Carnera was a bum. He came to fights in great shape, but it's just that the skill level of the fighters during that era greatly exceeded Wladimirs.

Watch Louis and watch Chagaev. It's like night and day.

 

Wladimir is without question a better athlete than Carnera. He's quicker and has better balance.

That said, I'd pick Carnera to decision Valuev in a boring fight.
