I´m one of the few supporters of Primo here...... Tucker looks better on film from a athletic point of view.....But Carnera wasn´t too far from Tucker´s league even in that aspect.....althought Tucker was faster (of Hands) without a doubt...... I would say Carnera was stronger and probably was more mobile than Tucker.....Primo´s footwork is underrated, and he was a decent jabber....Also, I can see Primo doing something good in the clinch....he was very good at controlling his opponent at close distance....
its amazing now watching more video's of Carnera How much Vitali's Style resemble's Carnera's both very ackward fighters to hit cleanly I know favor Joe louis to beat Vitali by descision if not KO in the 14th
Tony Tucker was awful. primo carnera probably wasnt much better. i imagine one of those fights that give heavyweight boxing a bad name. lots of holding and leaning and stumblin around togethr
