Can this Glass Jawed Fighter maneuver himself into another title fight? He beat Washington who is another Glass Jawed chump. Martin disgraced himself against Joshua bet he wishes he had that to do over knowing what we know now. Thoughts?
A southpaw going into an AJ fight the first time was never going to end good. Martin has Manny Robles now,if he fights Ruiz I look for an upset.
I love chin talk! Yes, he can. The heavyweight division is not that deep. They can bill him as a "former heavyweight champion". A couple of more wins and he'll get a title shot. It also depends on his promoter's juice.
Martin leaves me with the impression he could do better, that we're not seeing his best for whatever reason , lack of training , determination etc.
Charles Martin is definitely capable of winning a world HW strap We have seen enough of him to see he has the ability, and given the right opponent yes he can. His heart and determination has been lacking at times though. We saw a lack of heart against AJ, and a lack of determination against Kownacki. Perhaps those intangibles will continue to cost him
If Martin had his chance again even after seeing what Ruiz done to Joshua, Martin would still get blasted. He is terrible !
Not a chance, nothing against the man, but he looked like a novice that would never pick up the game properly to be effective against Joshua, unless hes massively improved
Coming into an important fight like that and treating it like a sparring session. Losing the first 5 rounds clearly because you are doing nothing, shows a lack of determination to win. He only showed determination once the fight was already lost.
Martin won his belt when his opponents knee gave our early. "Not much happened in the first two rounds of the fight, which the judges scored evenly. In the third round, Glazkov went down twice while throwing punches. The first was ruled a slip by referee Albert Earl Brown, but it appeared Glazkov was injured in the fall. Shortly after the bout resumed, Glazkov appeared to further injure his knee after landing a body shot on Martin. Glazkov went down backwards as the right leg gave way, and rolled over face first, his right knee shot." Not a top ten fighter. More like a top 15-30 fighter who won't stay in the spot for long.
