Boxing IQ...? Did you see his fight vs Steve Robinson..? Prince Naseem Hamed could fight pretty text book if he wanted too. His boxing IQ was way above average, lets not be another one of these ****** ****wits who automatically tag gifted athlete's with the....."Oh he did'nt know the fundamentals of boxing"....what the **** are the fundamentals..? Bernard Hopkins throwing a right hand, and following through with his head into a clinch..?

 

Hamed would NEVER have been beaten if he had been trained by brendan ingle for the whole of his career, and hadnt let outside influences and the hype go to his head to the point that his brothers were running the show, and he started to treat the people that had been training and preparing him since he was a child like ****.

The barerra fight, he didnt even flip over the ropes as he had done in his previous fights, you could see he was going to lose. Remember, this was barerra that junior jones beat twice, and paul ingle KO'd junior jones. Hamed beat himself IMO. watch all of ingles fighters, they all have similar styles to hamed, herol graham, johnny nelson, ryan rhodes, its the ingle style. How could you expect an orthodox trainer like manny steward to train hamed?? He was a one off, fantastic power, showbiz, glitter and excitement. Funny thing is I hated him back then, and he was a ***** no doubt, but what a gifted fighter and a truly exciting performer.

Jones was shot to **** when Ingle beat him.Thank you for excuse #10 as "his brothers were running the show",lol.Yeah we all know how Barrera was stopped by Jones,but WENT THE DISTANCE IN THE REMATCH.Yeah we all know how disciplined Hamed was under Ingle,lol.You Hamed fans have no idea how ridiculous you sound.PS the "didn't flip over the top rope" excuse has already been mentioned on these boards,lol.

 

I'm not a closet Hamed fan, I am a Hamed fan. And I'm a Barerra fan, and a boxing fan.

I've never once said Hamed would have beaten Barerra. *But if you seriously think a 100% disciplined, focused & well trained Hamed boxing to a proper game plan, still gets beat easily.?.... You're crazy.

I never said Steve Robinson was on the elite level of MAB, but still a really solid fighter. I was just proving a point Prince Naseem Hamed fought in a variety of styles, by the time he come to fighting MAB. He was completely obsessed with his trademark style, and being wild. Because it was a massive seller to the audience and fans, and exciting.

It was one of the reasons why Manny Stewart left him..? Because he did'nt want to applied any of the normal boxing fundamentals..? He could of if he wanted to, but he was arrogant with his own power.

We all know MAB was the better man on that night..? But deep down, YOU know and I know that Prince Naseem Hamed beat himself, and positioned himself to be defeated by a elite fighter like MAB.

I've seen the documentary.It's been done here on these boards many,many times before as the Hamed legion of excusemakers lines up to do just that.Hamed didn't fight "in a variety of styles" as you claim.He threw puches from a variety of angles and avoided punches in an undisciplined leaning manner,but his style was just that.He was ALWAYS ARROGANT.ALWAYS.He never had fundamental or technical skills and when faced with someone that did,he was made to look silly.And no,I don't know that he beat himself that night.That's just bull****.He was simply embarrassed by the better fighter.And as far as his not showing up in his best physical condition?Just when was Hamed someone that liked to do roadwork in his career?The correct answer would be NEVER,lol!But if you're a fan of his,you would have known that already.

Paul Gasgoine was a great footballer (I never liked him tough) - problem is, he was Ill disciplined & never trained properly.

Was he talented? **** yeah....

Would he have had a better career if he was more dedicated? Of course he would have.

Prime Naz can also beat any of the fab four on his day, he was good enough and had the tools to do it, not only the power but the chin.
