This just goes to show how poor Brown's technique is .

I wish more boxers today were taught how to throw punches correctly.

    Round 3

James is side-winding with everything now, landing inward-flying lefts and rights both upstairs and down. Brown is just leaning in and trying to nudge the shorter man back or find sanctity draped over his shoulder. James gives him no quarter and hoists him back to the ropes and works the body. Brown's hands drop and James clips him on the chin with both hands. Brown doesn't look ready to be stopped, but does seem like a beaten man in his body language - especially with less than half a minute left. No desperation. Just clinging to James and trying to smother his body attack. One big uppercut by Brown at the bell, a useless last gasp.

    30-27 James

    Three. It's a mini-tourney. Quarters, semis, finals.

Good that he didn't get robbed, but wtf is with not one judge giving him the clean shutout? Even the 30-28 card means that judge stupidly gave the 1st round even (whereas the other two gave it to Barrington outright, which is worse). :verysad

That was as clear a 3-round shutout as you'll ever find. (not that you see many 3 rounders, period). His comeback in the first was epic.

Dissecting a guy for two minutes > rocking a guy with a few big shots that catch him cold in 30-40 seconds.

It's a good thing Choi's in there to make the judges irrelevant. :D

Who did Choi, Jupp and Roberts each beat in the Q's?

I ****ing hate missing them, since often the participants aren't guys with previous exposure and it gives you a bit of a preview of what to expect in the semis in terms of the styles of those who advance (as well as how hard they had to work) and helps build up your excitement for them.

Of the four men left, I've only ever seen Choi and those three rounds' work by James just now.

This happened last Prizefighter too, with me only able to tune in just before the semis (although that was due to being at work).
