That can be deceptive sometimes, over here we have a lot of journeyman with terrible records who run for 4 rounds and are incredibly hard to stop. So they might punch harder than their records indicate, and it will show when they fight opponents that come to win.

Either that or they're just featherfisted :yep

    Round 1

Goddard is fleeing, taking a bit of a drubbing to the body as Vaughan swarms him and falls in behind sickle lefts and rights. Goddard does well to keep his left jab flowing while in full retreat, occasionally hooking off it or stepping in to tie up and buy time. Vaughan charges in and grinds up against him, working both hands over the top. Goddard flurries free and runs to the ropes, where he springs a pair of uppercuts as a trap on Vaughan. Wild incoming dives by Vaughan, getting hooked in the face.

    10-9 Goddard

    Round 2

Goddard is taking long steps back, floating the jab and using it as a decoy before bending his lead knee and putting some torque into an uppercut as Vaughan again tries the noisy burglar approach smashing through the front door. Goddard uses some slick ducks and spring-loads off the ropes while Vaughan swipes at him tirelessly. Vaughan has some engine but not much pop and seemingly no desire ever to take aim.

    20-18 Goddard

Why was Vaughan the favourite for the tournament? o_O he seems oddly sloppy and unless he can do this for 9 rounds he's going out pretty soon...

    Round 3

Clinch. Goddard drives his brow into Vaughan's abdomen and carts him back into the corner while flipping his gloves up into his sides. Vaughan keeps slapping the air above Goddard's head while getting involuntarily guided backward. Goddard now starts to outrun Vaughan, tossing out overhand left-right combos (only vaguely resembling the classic straight 1-2) that lack much steam but are enough to keep Vaughan just a step away. Goddard tries a bit too much showiness, relying on head movement more than his feet. Vaughan manages to land a few of his wild bombs, but Goddard recovers well. Vaughan loads up and lands more, with Goddard ducking and backpedaling.

    10-9 Vaughan

Not particularly surprised that Takaloo lost he was finished in 2008, older fighters keep trying to use Prizefighter to re-launch stalled careers (Robin Reid, Junior Witter; etc.) but the format doesn't favour them because they're used to competing over the longer format. C'mon Jeff!

Don't forget Hide bowing out in the CW one from being too nicked up.

It's getting to be a bit of a curse at this point. Well known British boxers getting on in age - stay the hell away from PF!
