Oh my god, I forgot about you, its the freak from another thread who was desperate for me to take a ban bet that would take years to play out, based on boxrec rankings, and on something that I originally stated I agreed with him on. And he wouldn't let it go. And I guess still can't.

fighters that have their camp set like jmm, wlad, floyd or paq may be able to take less time for a championship fight because they have everyone in their camp at their beck and call.

even so, i still think wlad would want three months for a camp and CHEF could easily substantiate this.

an eight month camp for a championship fight is last-minute to say the least and is far from the norm, more like a rarity.

Most people don't consider the "sitting around a table figuring out who our sparring partners will be, when we will leave town for camp, and what dates I need to return to watch my kids' school play" as being "in training." The training camp doesn't include the time spent figuring out how the training camp will go, as you imply.

And wake up! Nobody cares about belts, nor should they.

so i guess this means no that you dont have one example regarding a "bunch" of likfetime ban bets that took place on esb that no one honors?"

please give us here one example. i dont need a "bunch" as you have stated.

or are you just going to admit to everyone here that you were talking out of your ass?

Donaire vs. Nishioka was famous. You don't believe me? Type in "Donaire vs. Nishioka ban bet." It was a permanent ban, and the reason why idiots who picked Nishioka like "Leon" no longer post here, as he actually followed it, but I've also read people are certain he is now on an alt account.

Pac vs. JMM IV was another.

I've seen plenty of other small ban bets that posters claim other posters took and have not honored, I'm not going to go through 500 pages of ESB trolling to find them for you.

    a
that is part of setting up your camp and training and thats why fighters need three months.

why do you think that some fighters leave their high-profile trainers(cotto/manny-chavez jr/roach).

its because they cant fit them in the three months of camp as they have other commitments(roach/pac-manny/wlad).

your post is truly idiotic and shows that you dont know anything about how a trainier and fighter prepare for a fight.

why do you think schaeffer is concerned right now?

they are running out of time.

    Says the 19 year old...

I'll talk to people like that if they prove they deserve it. Your posts have been more than hostile toward me, without any reason at all. So, you are a little *****.

I dunno. I'm not going to bother to check. I don't pay attention to poster names with rare exceptions. I don't get into other ban bets or threads for ban bets but I have seen many people do it and many people not follow the bans. People whine about them not holding up to their end, that is what I see, and I've seen it many times. Don't know what else to say.

fair enough. im just the type of person that backs up my words with my actions and if you read my posts i dont use foul language, taunting emoticons or condescendingly talk down to people.

fwiw, a fighter will need three months to set up camp and prepare for a fight and especially a championship one at that. im sure that the majority of knowledegable boxing fans here will tell you that they are suprised that the fight has not been solidified as of yet.

and thats why scaheffers very concerned right now.

Well, maybe I'm wrong, but considering normal ESB talk (minus trolls) you do sound hostile. And in our other thread you just would not listen/read what I was saying. I never disagreed with you in the first place for you to offer up a ban bet than try to taunt me into taking it or else I'm a puss. Just the way it sounded.

I would like to take this opportunity to apologize for allowing any keyboard warrior mentality from leaking through in any posts, if that's the way they seemed.

Yes, there are 12 round camps. Especially from elite fighters, but the great majority of boxers, not just elite top 5 guys in their division, but all boxers, have 8 weeks or less of training camp. My point was that. Most camps are not 12 weeks. And I stand by that completely.

im sure that CHEF would be able to clarify this as his monicker implies, he is the CHEF for wlad and i believe vitali as well. and even though both these guys have their camp at their beck and call(training and being employed with the klitchos is their number one priority) im sure that they still request three month camps

and like i mentioned, a guy like floyd will need eight weeks because his camp is already set up with sparring partners, facility, trainer and housing in las vegas.

a guy like lara or kirkland, who do not have their camps on retainer, need to schedule in advance what they need, which is why most fighter want twelve weeks, especially for a championship fight.
