At least you have the balls to admit to it,

and on other topics, seem to know your **** and have decent analysis.

    (Oops, forgot about the Klits)

    Well, nearly all other topics.

Come on man, you really think Enzo would judge a fight with Calzaghe based on what happened to Lockett?

In truth I think this decision was made BEFORE the Lockett fight. That is why Joe wasn't there. He started to study Pavik with dad and decided RJJ would be a better choice.

I've posted this many times but I'll repeat it anyway - I didn't always hate Calslappy and was actually a fan of VITLAY until he fought Lewis and acted like a *****. The various sack-swingers of both fighters have probably increased the potency of my venom over the years but certainly in Calslappys case I feel it's justified. I've watched the guy his whole career and he always talked himself up as though he was the P4P best fighter in the world without actually doing a damn thing to prove it. I lost all respect for him years ago and he's done nothing truly significant to regain that respect in my eyes. Beating Lacy was a great performance, so was Kessler - but if he was anywhere near as good as he always claimed he was those fights would have been unnecessary anyway. Taking on 43 year old Hopkins was a ***** move and he should have lost - taking on a Jones that he knows is shot and he KNOWS he would have been absolutely been hammered by if he'd taken the fight when it mattered is an even bigger ***** move.

Keeping his 0 is far more important to the guy than gaining the respect of true fans...sure he's keeping the nuthuggers happy but I like to think that they're outnumbered by people who know what the **** they're talking about.

Well presumably Calslappy has sparred with Lockett in the gym...you might have a point. If Pavlik had just caught Lockett with one punch and KO'd him maybe Enzo and Joe wouldn't have simultaneously shat their pants, but it was a nasty, brutal beat-down. The kind of beat-down that sends Calslappy looking for an over the hill fighter instead....

Have you ever seen Enzo with his mouth in top gear? He's a ****ing ******...I wouldn't put anything past him.

Remember the post fight interview from Haye/Maccarinelli? "Don't go saying this means Haye is better than Enzo, because it doesn't" :nut

I dont think it sounds like Joe is a coward. To me, it sounds more like he has so much respect for Roy Jones. Roy Jones might of been Calzaghe's idol, because I've actually seen Calzaghe wearing Roy Jones-like boxing shoes in an early career fight.

Is no longer on the original site as it was a few months back and they don't keep the archives of their stories. You can read it in the OP of this thread though:

Hmmm so he offered to fight him when he was totally unproven but won't fight him when he's a world champion but still 'unproven' (despite having better wins at 26 than Calslappy has at 36)

Great logic as usual from Calslappy. I truly hope Jones puts the **** into a coma.

He says he made him an offer after Lacy. (He also said "maybe" after Taylor 1, but Pavlik was obligated to the rematch) Pavlik was coming off of his win over Zuninga. So, you wonder why Joe was interested in him at that point. A guy one weight class down trying to get a shot at the MW championship. Certainly gives the guys accusing Joe of resume padding some ammo. Maybe this is why Pavlik says he will let his fists do his talking. So far they always tell the same, non-contradictory story.

Spot on. Pavlik isn't shot and can do 12 rounds in his sleep without fading, and has the skills and the power to hurt the **** out of Calslappy on a regular basis. No wonder Joe tried to get him when he was green (if that story was true, which I doubt - Joe only takes 'risks' with limited or shot fighters)

As I said before, I just hope Jones has enough left in the tank for one more 'average' performance. 'Average' is all he'll need to beat this clown, count on it.
