True, very true, but if Bute gets pass Andrade and Kessler gets passed Haussler, then it's Bute vs Kessler for undisputed 168 lb division title considering Joe is retired by then

This doesn't mean Calzaghe would actually have lost - it just means that Calzaghe is a bit of a sissy.

    Which he is...

For cryin out loud - the guy was scared of Lacy and had doubts whether he could win. He wanted to call the fight off until his dad told him to straighen up.

If Calzaghe doubts he can beat Lacy and then pummels him - thinking that Roy will be difficult does in no way mean he would actually have lost if the yhad fought.

Well, you cannot have your cake and eat it too :yep

If you do agree with Calzaghe about Kessler, then you have to agre when Calzaghe says that the best fighter he has meet is Kessler (better than Hopkins) and that the two hardest fights he has had were against Kessler and Eubank.

Joe has reiterated many times that Kessler is the best he has ever met and that he may beat him if they fight again because "Kessler will learn a lot from this fight and I am not getting any younger".

Just a couple of days ago he answered how he judge Kessler and Pavlik: http://www.setanta.com/en/Sport/News/Other-sports/2008/08/14/Boxing-Calzaghe-on-Pavlik/

All in all - if you do agree with Calzaghe as you say you do - then you rate Kessler very highly.

It is well-known that Miranda's people prefer to only tell half the story:

I guess you could say that. Personally I interpret it such that neither didn't avoid the other but that the fight just fell through because of other circumstances. Miranda's team seemed to have worked to make the fight with Showtime. Kessler's team seem to have worked to make the fight with HBO and for a belt. They wanted the same, but talked past eachother. Too bad actually, I was looking forward to the fight.

There is no need for me to state all the same points again, when you have brought up nothing new and all you have done is produce another feeble and biased argument. Read my last post for correction on your errors in judgement.

OK then, so if Calzaghe says the best fighter he ever fought was, in his own words, unproven and untested- what does that say about his resume???? :patsch

Although I give Calzaghe credit for being a dceent fighter, Jones would beat him, no doubt, if they ever fought.

Yeah, but years fom now fans will be celebrating the conjob like an ATG b/c of it :-(

You should at least give him credit for being intelligent. Part of what makes a great champion is being able to assess risk vs reward.

He now looks as though he has ruled for the better part of a decade (albeit in a weak division). He's undefeated. Can't take that away from him. :devil

Although a certain Roy Jones may have something to say about that come November.

I got a feeling we're in for a suprise with that one, even though I know the "logical" choice is JC by decision.

    Hmmmmmmmmm... watch this space :think

Some of the very same clowns calling Calzaghe a coward in this thread claimed in another thread not so long ago that anyone who steps inside the ring deserves respect.

    ****ing idiots.

If that makes a guy that fights for a living a coward there arent many brave people in the world.

Calzaghe has also said he was better than Lennox Lewis. He also said he was the best fighter in the world - above your boyfriend Pacquiao

Still take his word as gospel? :hey
