Now that he's the cashcow and dictates all the terms on who he fights, he gets vitriol from his haters. He's just following along the footsteps of every other cashcow in the sport, but at least FLoyd always fights top-tier opponents. It makes it even more impressive that he takes these long layoffs and barely shows any ring rust against the elite fighters in the division. I can't think of any fighter in the history of boxing that comes back after 1+ year hiatus' , avoids tune-up fights and than dominates recognized top 10 P4P fighters.

Fair point, but where is the proof that he ducked Tszyu or a prime Oscar and Mosley? Why are those claims readily made without anything to back it up?

I don't ever remember him calling out Margarito or Paul Williams. Why would he? Neither one of those guys brought anything to the table financially.

Those two guys fought about 2 months after Floyd retired after the DLH fight. He stated there was nothing left for him to prove, now why would the new cashcow of boxing want to fight either one of those guys after making a career high against Oscar fully knowing he'd be lucky to make 1/3rd of that if he fought either of those guys?

Sure, erither opponent would've been a dangerous fight for Floyd but he didn't have to give either one of those guys a shot at him on PPV. Paul Williams is not known at all to anyone outside of the hardcore boxing community, and Margs while being a pretty popular Mexican fighter at the time fought for Top Rank, an organization Floyd seemingly has no interest in doing business with.

When you're the PPV king, aside from the fact you should always take on top-tier opponents, the opposing fighter has to bring something to the table as far as marketing goes. That's why he took on Hatton who was the lineal 140 lb champ, the biggest boxing draw in England since lewis, and had campaigned for a few fights at 147 and looked ok there (good body shot KO of Castillo,) that's also why he took on JMM who was the most popular fighter in Mexico at the time and considered a top 3 or 4 P4P fighter, that's also why he took on Cotto who is the biggest PR fighter since Tito and he took on a 1st ballot HOF'er in Shane who just completely obliterated Margs in their last fight.

The idea that he ducks fighters is silly and just a baseless statement that doesn't hold any merit to it.

He ducked Margarito and pretended to retire when it was becoming obvious that he wanted no part of the man.

When Margarito got knocked out, Floyd immediately announced his "comeback".

If you want to be Real about the stuation Margarito was a nobody when he came up to Mayweather asking for a fight. Mayweather (studdering an all seeing as this is proof he was scared) shook his hand and told him "You keep winning and we will fight." In the time before Mayweather "retired" Margarito proceed to lose his next fight after challenging Mayweather to Williams who again at the time hadnt done anything. Meanwhile Mayweather fought the Undisputed WW Champ, 1/2 JMW an WBC Champ, an finally defending his WW Title vs the Undisputed Undefeated P4P JWW Champ. Those 3 wins alone **** on anything either Williams/Margarito have ever done in there career, and that's just being honest. After Mayweather retired Margarito beat another nobody Finally got his ONLY Quality win vs Cotto then got KO'D in every fight after.

And the thing that's so funny when people mention these two guys is this, you can say they were as ducked as you want when your great people have no choice but to face you. But when you look at these two guys careers the ONLY notable thing you can point at them doing is a tainted win vs Cotto (due to the wrap controversy) an a robbery/close decision vs Martinez nothing else. And really in the case of Margarito how do people praise a career Welter that started in 95" and won his WBO Title in 00/01" yet he didn't manage to fight a top ranked opponent til 08" in that time span the Lineal title was won/fought for by Hoya, Mosley, Mayorga, Forrest, Spinks, Judah, Baldomir, Gatti, and ended officially when Mayweather retired after dedending vs Hatton. From 95-09" Margarito managed to fight 1/10. Mayweather started at SFW got to WW in 05" and between 05-09 Mayweather beat 6/9.

Its funny because this is the exact same date I nailed all of the Swedish volley ball team whilst on touring Europe . I was obviously playing form Manchester United at the time , was footballer of the year. Red cross man of the year. And had just been voted Vogues 'most beautiful man'

    Peace out Floyd.
