First of all, congratulations to Vazquez jr. He did a OK job in becoming WBO Champion, and mostly more credit as he did it without any amateur background, period. Vazquez is in the same division as " El Chacal " Rigondeaux and sooner or later he will have to hand that title to Guillermo. To reply to your question, " Yuriorkis Gamboa " became WBA featherweight Champ in just 16 fights, even though that the WBA considers him the " second Champion after John " Gamboa still holds the " WBA title ", not the interim. So, the Cuban Gold medalists have already scored with Gamboa, and Rigondeaux will be World Champion in less than half of the time it took Gamboa, Rigo will be World Champ in about 2 to 4 more fights. Then comes Lara, who at 10-0 is right there already lined up for a possible World Title bout, does this answer your question? :good
First we will have to see if these Cubans adapt well to the pros. I know they been fighting as pros now, but am talking how good they will really be, when the level of opposition increases. Being a great a amateur does not mean you will be a great professional fighter. There is a difference. I see you hyped your fighters based on how great they were as amateurs. Thats fine but they are pros now, you cant say that Vazquez has to hand his title to Rigo, because eventually they will fight for it. This is a boxing and anything can happen. I support my fighters too, but I will admit when they have limitations or problem areas. I dont try to make'em look like all time greats, especially when they only have less than 20 fights under their belts and their level of opposition has not been that great. Good example, the Arroyo brothers, am not going to hype them up just cause they were good amateurs and did good on their pro debut. Lets see how they do when the level of opposition increases. I have seen plenty good amateurs who can't make it in the pros, hopefully these wave of cuban boxer stay focus, do great, and make Cuba proud, but nothing in this sport is given, they will have to fight for it.
nope it doesnt cause all you did was speculate and make assumptions, you dont know if any of those fighters are going to be champions no matter how much you want them to be they still have to do it in the ring :hat
