As much as I dislike the UFC structure, from what I heard it was a damn good card. If I was still purchasing UFC cards, I would have bought this one.
THE CARD WAS BRILLIANT Dos Santos v Nelson was great great fight Matt Hughes was ****ing awesome, His submission was one of the best ive seen. Guida fought well and he is one of my favorites. But the Silva v Sonnen main event was the best main event ive seen for at least 2 years.
aside from the silva-sonnen fight, i enjoyed the guida fight the most (one of my less-likely-to-win-a-championship-fighter simply because he goes full blast from start to finish). ...i know that he will most likely lose but was still rooting for him. he gets tagged every single time but still bounces like an energizer bunny... i was really glad he got the sub. ...i felt bad for sonnen though, backed up his trashtalk and went all-out on the spider, dominated for almost 4 1/2 rounds then "BAM!", he just got subbed. i would love to see his future fights
The main event could have easily turned into a sh*tfest, the main event overachieved in terms of entertainment. The undercard was solid, but only because Anderson is a poor draw for a champion.
You dont watch much MMA or boxing do you? That was a good card but not great, the Brock v Carwin was one of the worst cards Ive seen ever. Some of the better cards ive seen have been unknown fighters who showed a great display of talent.
Are you trolling? 116 was easily the best fight card of the year thus far IDK how you could argue otherwise. What are these better cards you describe?
Has a party at my place on Sat. night.Had the HBO boxing in the den and the PPV UFC in the living room.Of the 16 friends I had over,12 watched the UFC and only 4 of us watched the boxing card.By the end of the night all but I watched the boxing, and wished I hadn't.Poor decisions are driving me slowly out of boxing and over to the UFC.:good
